Constellation 01

[Arthur seems quite startled as he appears on the Plane. For a moment, there is a look of confusion on his face, but it soon changes to one of delight] Oh, this is brilliant. Don’t recall having a dream like this before. [Gazing up, he begins to see what stars he can recognize] There’s Arcuturus, then Rigul. I don’t recognize any in that particular cluster… Even in the country, you can’t see stars as bright as these.

[Then he looks down at the ‘floor’. Rather than being scared that he is apparently walking on nothing, Arthur kneels, grinning as he traces constellations with his finger] There’s the Diamond of Virgo; Arcturus, Spica, Denebola, and Cor Caroli. The Big Dipper, of course. [then a frown as he pauses over a particular group of stars] Hold on. This is the Great Square of Pegasus, isn’t it? Shouldn’t be able to view these two at once. Diamond of Virgo is for spring, the Great Square of Pegasus for summer…..

A bit worrying, if my dreams have such simple mistakes.

Well, travel between universes is possible. This nexus point must utilize that ability to draw in rather than cut across. The difficult part is keeping the gaps between universes open.

Possibly! Or where they all meet, which would make it much easier to pull through so many universes.

Well! I could be. I actually know of you, in my universe. The Eddington Limit is well known for quite some time on Earth. So it's possible you're from mine.

[Rubs the back of his neck] Erm, right, well! You'll know about that eventually. Just continue your work.

[He smiles, a little amused, and shakes his head.] No. It ends up being named after you anyway.

Scientists are very silly people.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes, I'm a follower of science myself.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I do visit them. Quite often. I travel space and time, you see.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 08:02 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes. I do. I'm a Time Lord.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Beams at him.] Yep! That's me. [waves a little.] And there are several of me. There's that bit, too.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 08:25 am (UTC)(link)
Actually...there's also three other...other versions of me. My fifth, my eighth and ninth.

Regenerations. Time Lords can regenerate, change the structure of every cell, including brain cells. So! When you meet someone who looks nothing like me but calls himself 'the Doctor', he is still me. Technically.
