[Seeing as he isn't sure how long this being-a-witch-again thing will last, have a Chris. Who is making potions. In a smoking cauldron. Yes, an actual cauldron. It sits upon a table, along with a moderate amount of ingredients, varying from the type of things you might regularly see in a kitchen to some more... unique things, such as oddly shaped roots or something like glitter dust in a wooden bowl. Several glass bottles filled with colored liquid sit on the other side of the table.
Chris glances to the piece of paper he also has on the table, then rips off a piece of a plant, tossing it into the mixture. The potion-in-the-making bubbles. ... then it explodes in a huge puff of mist and smoke. It's barely enough to knock Chris off his feet, and he makes an annoyed groan as he runs a hand through his hair.]
Note to self: not as much mandrake leaf next time.

...It's not dangerous, is it?
no subject
This one? Not really.

Ah, well that's good.

[Doesn't mention that some of the others might be a bit dangerous...] Yeah.

Oh, that reminds me! [Digs into the little pouch at her hip and pulls out a pair of dennou glasses.] Um, they're not the latest or best kind, but I couldn't get anything else. I told my dad it was to help a friend with a project.

[... ooh, shiny. He takes them and holds them up to look into the lenses without putting them on yet, then looks down and gives her a smile.] Any at all is great. Thanks. How much do I owe you?
no subject
Oh! U-um, that's alright, really...

I told you I was going to pay, didn't I?

[She raises her fingers and a green-blue keyboard appears beneath her hands, at the same time that a screen pops up before her.]
We just search "yen to dollar exchange"... [Types furiously and a moment later the screen changes.]
Hm...it says that the current exchange rate is about .013 dollars to one yen. Um...do you know what .01 dollars would be?

[Keeps typing, though it takes her a bit longer to find the right page.]
Okay, it says that .01 dollars is something called a "penny," which is 1/100th of a dollar, so... [Starts the calculation and a second screen pops up.]
Oh! So that's, um, $440.

[He slips the glasses on, wondering if there's supposed to be any noticeable difference.]

To turn them on you just turn on the button on the side. [Taps the end of her own glasses.] It'll ask you to create a user account, so just put in your name and such. After that you just follow the prompts. It's very easy.
