She was based around actual experiences between a series of children who had this unusual Nanny. She was eventually called back to her home planet, much to their dismay.

Called a TARDIS. That's Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. Sort of exists in her own pocket-universe. Technology way beyond most humans.

Right-o! So here we have the console room. Heart of the TARDIS and all that. Down the hall, past the bins, up the stairs, third door on the left is the wardrobe room, second most-used room. But the best, I think, is the butterfly room. Been too long since I've been in there. Down the hall here, on the left.
