[ 01 ]

[Rose stumbles into the plane and then blinks before looking around a bit surprised, since she wasn't expecting this at all.]

...Right then. Another reality? And with stars. This is really lovely. Though...

[She frowns and then pats down her jacket as if feeling for something.]

Well no teleport jumper with me this time. So, that's a bit worrisome. Unless of course I didn't really jump and this is all just a dream? It wouldn't surprise me, really, especially after the week I've had. It's sort of funny though since...I mean a shop! And then those twins, don't think I could have really thought that up, yeah? Unless I was sloshed somehow, but I haven't really drank in such a long time.

[Her expression is a bit unsure as she unzips her top pocket and pulls out her mobile.]

I know, I'll just call Control and then they'll...Oh lovely dead. No signal. That would just be my luck wouldn't it?

Alright, so if anyone is out there and cares to help a lost soul out it would be appreciated.

Um, hello?

I backed into your Dad's mailbox once. We were at your parents, and I thought I'd try driving your Dad's old Jeep.

[Looks down, then back at her.]

You didn't talk to me for a week. When you finally decided to talk to me, I decided I didn't want to talk to you for another week. It went on like that for an entire month.

I think we're both too stubborn for our own good.

Yeah. You didn't really leave me with much of a choice. Not that I wouldn't have done it on my own, but you were good at making sure I actually did replace it.

[pauses]

Just so you know, you leaving, I wouldn't have blamed you. Getting left behind like that, it wasn't fair. I know he probably understands as well.

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2008-11-14 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
What do you mean you had no choice?

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2008-11-14 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Right.

Well I'm sure you'll find him again. You're resourceful. You found Donna, and the Doctor. What's one me - him -

[pauses]

This can get confusing, can't it?

[laughs] We thrive on competition. Probably the quickest way to get anything done where we're concerned.

We're clever, we'll work it out to be less confusing eventually.

Oh, no name tags, please. Apparently a couple of the Doctors feel the need to resort to them. I'm not having any part of that.

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2008-11-14 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
United in our refusal to wear name tags. If I see you walking around with one, I'll be very disappointed.

Others marvel at our rebellious ways.

[small smile at that last part, once again finding his shoes very interesting, before he looks back up at Rose.]

Oh, well, that's...[pauses] I'll try my best not to disappoint as well.

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2008-11-14 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
But then we won't be rebels anymore. We'll have to find something else to rebel against.

[Look at those shoelaces, aren't they interesting?]

The last thing I'd want to do is crush you, because if you're crushed, well I'd be crushed, too.

Watch each other's name tagless, jacketless, jumperless backs. That's not quite so bad, is it?
