[Handy doesn’t appear on the Plane, as much as he is walking the Plane.  He hasn’t left since he found Reinette earlier.  His clothes are stained with blood, as are his hands.  He has been walking aimlessly.  Still shaken from what happened.

Finally he stops.  Not wanting to walk anymore.  His legs are tired.  He is tired.  He sits down.  Relieved to be off his feet.  Crossing his legs, fingers tapping the floor, eyes studying the stars below.]

[HUGS! And then pulls away, still smiling, because it's Adric, and he's able to put aside his grief for a few minutes because someone who he thought was gone forever is standing right in front of him.]

Well, yes. My version of the Doctor fixed it for me... you can still see the cracks if you look, but he did a pretty good job considering the state it was in.

Oh, no, that must have been another me. Four of us, looking like this, walking around this place. It can get a bit confusing.

Oh. Ryotarou mentioned that. So, you must be one of your Tenth selves. How am I supposed to tell you apart?

[Sad for a moment, then quickly shifts back to happy, glad to have Adric as a distraction from everything he's been thinking about.]

I'm not really sure. Any ideas? Someone suggested name tags. I'm not exactly thrilled with that idea.

You could colour coordinate your clothes? Like the Fifth Doctor here wears black, but mine wears beige.

It was beyond repair, unfortunately. Nothing could be done.

I'm not a big fan of color coordination. I did it before for a little while, don't feel like repeating that.

Oh. Well, that's alright Doctor. I'm sure you did everything you could. [Sounds slightly upset by that, but smiles anyway.]

What about mannerisms? Do they vary between you?

Would've done anything I could to fix it, but I couldn't. [He might also sound a bit upset by this, but covers it up with a smile]

Well, two of us are part human, so there's that. Me and another one, haven't met him yet, so I can't speak for any difference in mannerisms between us.

Yeah, that's probably right. I'm being oversentimental, I suppose. No matter, here you are, badge and everything. No point dwelling.

Human-Time Lord metacrisis. Failed regeneration energy plus a couple other factors, and bam, here I am.

What sort of factors could have caused something like that?

It's sort of, well, short version is the Doctor lost his hand in a battle, grew a new one. But, he had the old hand sitting in a jar on the TARDIS, dumped some failed regeneration energy into it, Donna touched the hand and that's how you get your instantaneous biological metacrisis.
