[Deadpool's relaxin' on his plastic explosive couch again. At least he would be relaxing if he had reason to feel relaxed. He checks his cell phone for any voice mail. Still nothing. He lets out an exasperated sigh.]

*sigh*

[Not exasperated enough.]

*SIGH*

[Better.]

What am I supposed to do? After my last assignment, I'm in debt...

Everyone else is too busy with the Secret Invasion™ to hire me...

Usually am. Explosives don't come cheap. Especially when your clients have a tendency to not pay you.

Oh, I see...Well, if that's all, would you like some money?

Money's good, but money from your world wouldn't do much good in my world.

Oh, I guess that's true, isn't it? It's hard to remember things like that.

{Thoughtfully,} Well, I can't really get any explosives for you, I'm afraid, but do you think I could help somehow? Going to the Twins isn't always a good thing.

I also don't like being dependent on other people, so while I appreciate you offering free stuff, I like to earn my spoils.

Still, you should be careful. I made a deal with them a long time ago, but now I kind of wish that I hadn't. It's pretty inconvenient.

[mercwamouth]

My life ain't gettin' much more inconvenient, sweetheart.

Sweetheart? It's been a while since I've heard that.

{That bit of nostalgia makes her laugh a bit, and she smiles} Well, if that's the case, then I would hope that your life gets a little more convenient. And, ah, with less debt problems, since I've heard that's really terrible.

...Who else called you sweetheart?

Hmmm...He was probably in his late forties, I'd guess, and he was definitely American. Dark hair, dark eyes, and a scar in a straight line across his face. I never got his name, but it wasn't really important. Ah, that was during that Vietnam War, though, so he's probably dead by now. I remember because even though I told him my name over and over again, he'd call me "sweetheat".

A lot like Gene calling me a "skirt", I guess.

Well, at least it's not bad with Gene anymore~ He's true to his word, at least. We had a drinking contest quite a while ago, and I made him promise that if I won, he'd stop calling me odd names.
