[He sinks down to his knees, eyes unseeing.]

Not again. Not again. Shouldn't have fucked around with that array. Damned thing worked. In Germany. Alchemic energy in Germany... Shit.

I guess so. I just found this place too, so I don't know very much about it.

{But who cares about that? Munich is much more interesting.} Wow, really? I spent three years in Munich. Not the best three years of my life because of being stuck in those office buildings while Amshel and my other Chevalier dealt with all of that politics, but when I got to go outside, it was such a pretty city. Lucky~

[He snorts.] Pretty? Excuse me? You call Munich pretty?

[In his opinion, his hometown of Risembul is a hell of a lot prettier than 1920s Munich could ever look.]

Well, not as pretty as some places I've been. Vietnam was kind of nice, but I was there at a bad time. Russia was too cold...Hm, I think France is my favourite. The area around Bordeaux is really nice. Or, at least when the grapes are growing. Otherwise the hills look dead.

{She considers it for a moment before she laughs slightly}

Ne, but when are you from? Like what year is it at your home? Apparently people here come from...Well, everywhere and anytime!

[He looks confused at all the different places she's mentioning, with a tiny flicker of recognition only when she speaks of Russia and France.]

... My home. It was 1915 in Amestris. It's 1926 in Munich now. [He would have looked as if he thought she was crazy, but his own experiences have dictated that the existence of several worlds was entirely plausible.]

Amestris I haven't heard of. What country is that in?

{She looks quite pleased when he mentions Munich, though}

Ah, really? Then we could have met sometime. I was in Munich around that time. Ne, with Martin always talking with Mr. Adolf and Josef only visiting when he got called to Munich, it really was boring. Well, maybe I saw you in a crowd sometime. I wouldn't remember something like that, though.

[His fingers curl into fists, and his voice is quiet.] Amestris is a country. Another place, another world from Germany.

[He looks up at her.] ... Maybe. But I doubt it.

{Diva tilts her head before she reaches out to his face. Her fingers just barely touch his cheek, curious rather than invasive.}

You look so sad. Ne, it's really not so awful that you're here, is it?

[He flinches visibly at the touch, going as far as to shift away.]

It is. I've been looking for a way back home for a year. And I thought one of my ideas was going to work, but it just brought me here. To this fucking place. [His voice rises a notch, fuelled by anger and hopelessness.]

{She just stares quietly for a few moments before she smiles softly.}

Well, you can go back to Munich any time you want. You don't have to stay here. So that means that you can keep trying to go home, at least~

[He feels just the slightest bit churlish that she's been smiling and gracious while he's been scowling and snappy. Softening his demeanour just a bit, he shakes his head.]

I'll probably be stuck in Munich the rest of my life anyway. But thanks.

{Diva just smiles a little more at that. She doesn't mind grumpy people, but she does notice and appreciate the softer tone.}

There must be something important to you in...Amestris, right? I'm sure that you'll go back someday. If it's really really important to you, then you'll be able to go home somehow.

{Her smile falters slightly at that, but she just quickly smiles sweetly once again} Ne, that's really nice. If that's why you want to go home, you and your brother must be really really close. I'm kind of jealous of Edward!

[Was it just him, or did her smile falter? He shook his head slightly.] Yeah... We were pretty close. [He nods at her question.] One year older.

[Hesitant] Did you... Do you have a sibling too?

Lucky~! Ah, but I do. I have a twin sister. But we're not on good terms at all. Not for a long, long time anyways. {She laughs lightly}

So I'm a little envious that you seem to have such a good relationship with your sibling! I'd like to, but it's impossible now. I think Saya wants me to die too much to be ready to forgive me.

120 years~ Ne, but Saya and I are older than that. I'm 173 this year.
