[The Griever suddenly appears on the Plane — but he's not alone. Pinning him to the invisible floor is a humongous, see-through purple and blue dragon (with a golden amulet tied around its neck). Its voice is loud and booming.]
NO HURT.
I-I get it! You can— get off now! [The Griever struggles under the heavy claws for a moment, while the dragon pulls back, intent to breathe fire and end him once and for all.]

... You wouldn't believe me if I told you. [Or at least he hopes so.]

Henrietta! Henrietta, stop!

[Ah, frick. The Griever barely dodges that stomping, then grabs her claw and uses ghostly super-strength to try and toss her onto her side, with a mumbled apology.]

[Amulet, huh? Hei launches a wire, trying to wrap it around the amulet and yank it off.]

[He takes the opportunity to swing around and try to work on the clasp of the amulet from the back. Perhaps their combined effort can do something?!]

She sits down.] Ah... when did we come here?

You know, Hei, I really must commend you on your choice of caretakers.
And to think I ever doubted you.

[So he just sort of blows up.]
Fine. Fine! You're right! Henrietta is infinitely better off with you than she will ever be with Chris or with me! After all, everything I've ever done has only made things worse for her, hasn't it? I can't save her! I can't save anyone! As if I didn't know that already! It doesn't matter what I do, does it, because they always get hurt or killed or leave and everything goes wrong and it happens every single time.
So, congratulations on being right, Crowley. No one could have seen it coming!
[Hei stops, breathing fast, looking angry and hurt and helpless. He stands there, glaring at the Plane floor for a moment. Slowly it dawns on him that, for one, he let his emotions completely get the better of him, and that it happened in front of Crowley.]
