[Remember back when that Eyeball attacked Henrietta? Well Yuri has been thinking since then and has decided to make sure there aren't anymore monsters on the Plane. So, he's been scouring all the buildings since monsters seem to like hiding in buildings in his world. Currently he's busy searching the theater. Feel free to bug him.]

[You shouldn't sneak up on monster hunters. He whirls around, claws raised until he sees it's not a monster.]

Don't do that! I'm looking for monsters.

[Barriers! But lowers when you don't attack.] Fully capable of defending myself, thanks.

And why monsters?

There was an eyeball thing attacking a kid here a while ago. Monsters usually travel in packs in my world, so I'm making sure that aren't any around.

Really? I guess I can understand the hunt, then.

I figured it was better someone who can deal with them finds them first. This is what I do back in my world anyway.

You have monsters back in your world?

Monsters, vampires, demons, and a whole assortment of other baddies.

I'm hunted down monsters and demons and other stuff, but not vampires. They aren't that bad, at least in my world.

Well, in my world, most vampires are just trouble-making bloodsuckers with no regard for human life.

The ones with souls aren't too bad, though.

Sounds like most of the monsters in my world. I've only meet a couple of vampires, but they were pretty normal. [Pauses and thinks] Well, normal as in 'not malice monsters'.

Vampires don't have souls in your world?

Not usually. When they're turned, their soul and their conscience are taken from them.

See, there's a vampire I know named Angel. Before he was Angel, he was a much crueler being named Angelus. He committed many crimes and evil deeds. However, one day, he tortured and murdered the favorite daughter of a tribe of Kalderash Gypsies. In return, they cursed him by restoring his soul, and also his conscience. While still a vampire, he now lives with the guilt of his crimes. He's lost his soul twice since, but I preformed the Ritual of Restoration both times.

Turned..? So the vampires in your world can actually change other people into vampires?

...[Is silent for a while] So you can give someone back their soul?

Does...something like that only work on vampires? Or can you use it on non-vampires too?

The Ritual of Restoration is not meant to be a gift. It is a curse, always has been. I have never performed it on anyone but Angel. What is it you're getting at?

...There's a curse in my world that's suppose to slowly drain someones soul. I was wondering if something could stop that or give the soul back.

I would have to know the exact curse. The words, the ingredients, the conditions under which it was cast, everything. Only then can I judge how and if it can be reversed or stopped.

I know it's called the Mistletoe curse. I don't think there were any words, just something that you stabbed into someone. It came from the Vatican, and it's suppose to purify the soul. It was used as a punishment.

Why does that not surprise me?

I thought you were one of the monsters that might be running around.

All cats talk, hon. Not just the ones here.

I ain't seen no monsters, hon, but if you want me to keep an eye out...
