[A certain witch pops into the Plane yet again, carrying a full-sized mirror. She sets it up and adjusts it, nodding in satisfaction. With a smile, Willow proceeds to pop in and out of the Plane, in different costumes.

A cat, complete with fake hand "paws".

A maid, with a skirt she feels is far too short.

A football star, the shoulder pads almost making her fall over.

A witch, complete with fake crooked nose (to which she mutters, 'oh heck no').

A devil (with horns).

An angel (with halo).

And finally, a Jester, complete with the bell hat.

Looking defeated, she finally pops in and out one last time, back in normal clothes as she flops into a chair with a sigh.]

So. Anyone else having trouble finding a costume?

Could always just go as a bedsheet with eyes.

I tried that one year and actually became a ghost, so... Not sure if I'm ready to risk that again.

Then again, that was back in Sunnydale, so...

But any of the other costumes are worth the risk? [He doesn't seem phased that it happened, though. It actually seems quite reasonable to him.]

Yeah. Sunnydale, California. It was built on a Hellmouth, and now it's a crater.

I used to live in California, and I've... never heard of a Sunnydale before. What's a Hellmouth? Just what it says on the tin?

And no, it's basically a place of increased supernatural energy, an area in which the barriers between dimensions are weak. The Hellmouth has a focal point, which serves as a portal between earth and Hell.

I had an interesting time during my high school and college years, as you can probably guess.

Well, the Cliff Notes version is that crap happened and Sunnydale was sucked into the Hellmouth. So, now, Sunnydale is gone and all that's left is a huge crater.

No! I mean, almost everyone evacuated... Some people died in the attempt.
