[Dino is seated at the bar, a glass of something in front of him although he hasn't touched it yet. He looks very tired and he's not wearing his regular coat, only a light jacket that looks rumbled. Also, his arm is in a sling and he looks slightly beat up. He frowns at his glass.]

It doesn't make any sense...what were they trying for?

What happened?

[Have a Squalo polishing his clip-on sword at the other end of the bar] What, problems in paradise?

A few members of the Calcassa family attacked me.

The Calcassa family is causing trouble again.

Pfft, those weaklings?

I try not to underestimate people, and right now I have no idea what their up to.

I haven't heard anything about them lately, but that bastard prince is an ass with sending info on time.

They just send a small group of men to attack me and, from the reports my men sent in, they sent groups to attack other Families as well.

[ This will be a very worried-looking Angela, placing a hand on his shoulder. ]

Dino? What happened?

They attacked you, a mafia boss?

[Nods, still frowning at the glass.] It doesn't make any sense. They had to know they couldn't win.

Could they have been after the rings?

Angela.

I just had some trouble with another Mafia family.

[ She brushes his hair back and kisses him on the forehead, then holds his face in her hands. ] Are you all right? Are your men..?

I don't think so. I suppose they could have found out about them though, and it would explain why they went after other families as well...it's another possibility at least.

I'm fine, it's not that serious. [He sighs] I have wounded, but I think they'll all pull through. They group that attacked us was small.

[ She frowns, then sits down next to him, covering one of his hands with hers. ] Do you know what they were after?

No. Their actions don't make any sense at all. It's suicide to attack in such small groups.

Maybe they were sending a message.

What is their family's relationship like with the Cavallones?

Trying to warn the Alliance they mean business hmm? It's a possibility. They've done something like that before. It was a really stupid way to go about things if that's true though.

Very bad. I'm part of the Alliance, they aren't, and they've made no effort to conceal how much they hate the Alliance.

[Is investigating the bar since O_O Astral Bar whut.] Ah...I thought maybe it wasn't even real.

And you don't think this is some standard challenge to authority?

Sometime groups don't care about the loss of human life. If what they're trying to tell you is more important than the lives of their members, tactics like that might be right up their alley.

It's reckless, though. Leaders can't expect their people to follow them when they send them on suicide missions.
