Dossier Seventeen

[She's in the swimming pool, fully clothed (except for her sweater, shoes and socks, which are sitting by the side of the pool) and floating on her back. There's a look of confusion on her face; she starts to sink, flounders for a moment, and then makes it to the edge, grabbing on to pull herself out. It takes a couple of attempts, weighed down as she is by soaked clothes.

When she finally pulls herself our, she flops onto her back on the plane, one wrist laying gently over her eyes.]

Squirt! What in the world... [ Angela caught the tail end involving her scrambling out and flopping. She'll be vanishing and reappearing with some towels, then helping Henrietta sit up while she attempts to dry her off. ] You'll get sick, hanging around in those wet clothes.

I'm human. [She gives Angela a confused look, submitting to the attempt to dry her without protest.]

[ She wraps her in one of the towels before seeing about getting her hair dry. She closes her eyes momentarily and a gentle wind stirs up, which she directs with her hands. Yep, her magic's back. ] Were you anything else before?

I'm supposed to be a cyborg. That's what I am. [Not depressed or anything, just... in shock.]

A cyborg? [ No idea what that is, but Angela understands her confusion. ] You're probably going through an experiment, kiddo. It should right itself in a few days.

[ She clicks her tongue, more to herself than anything else. ] Those clothes are soaked through. We should get you into something dry so you don't catch a cold.

[Ianto hovers for a moment, eventually taking his chances and approaching, keeping his hand inside his jacket just in case.] You probably should've put something else on if you wanted to go swimming. Not hurt, are you?

[Looks up at him, vaguely surprised.] No... I wanted to see if I would float.

Can you usually float?

No. My modifications-- [pause] They're too heavy. But they're gone.

I didn't think you could. [He pauses, crouching down next to her.] Being human isn't so bad, you know.

Ah...it's best not to go swimming in your clothes. They get heavy fast.

Are you alright?

Signore... [She sits up] I'm not a cyborg any more.

I thought that might be it.

[Disappears for a moment and comes back with a towel. He hands it to her and sits down nearby.] How are you?

[Drapes it over her head, but doesn't do anything beyond that.] I don't know. I don't know what to do.

It's been awhile. The experiment should be over soon. When it is, you'll likely go back to normal.

Do you want to go back to normal?

Yes. The water didn't do anything bad.

Well, I just heard a bunch of splashing. I can't see things in the water.

Were you swimming? Wait...you have your clothes on, don't you?

Yeah, but everyone knows you gotta take your clothes off first. They get really heavy when they get wet.

[Looks up at him, still laying on the plane, now in a spreading puddle.] Signore. They finished all my testing.

I'm human. The tissue they took wasn't synthetic at all.
