Dossier Thirteen

[Henrietta is in the woods again, this time in the deepest, darkest most private area she can find. She's wrestling with her P90, trying to grip it properly, but the muzzle keeps dipping towards the forest floor. She fumbles and nearly drops it, wincing--her hands are raw and sore-looking. Apparently she's been at this a while. She hesitates.]

...I should look for them again...

[Shakes her head, wincing as she tries to haul the gun level again.]

[Drops the gun. One of her hands starts bleeding. :\] Okay... I can't see or hear like I'm supposed to.

[Crowley steps forward and takes the bleeding hand in his own hand, looking down at the girl]

How long ago did this start?

Today. I was going to the medical ward with Signore Jose, but then I wanted to come here.

You wanted to come here?

[Nods, her expression going slightly vague for a moment.] I looked all over for you, and Chris and Signore Hei and Signore Aziraphale, but I couldn't find anyone, so I decided to practice instead.

[Crowley...doesn't know what to say to that. He really wasn't expecting this to come up so soon.]

Why were you going to the medical ward? Are your hearing and vision being affected in your own reality as well?

[Nodnod] We were training, and then my gun got heavy and I almost dropped it. Signore Jean told Signore Jose to take me for a full exam, and then they were fighting about something. I think surgery, to look at my muscles.

Ngh.

[Pause for thinky tiems. In the meantime, he places his other hand overtop Henrietta's cut one, so that it is surrounded by both of his. It's totally stopped bleeding now >>; ]

Is there any way you can stay here on the Plane? At least until we figure out what's the matter?

It's a messy business if you do it the old-fashioned way. I haven't been much for the wilderness or wildlife since I changed forms.
