038: I'm In the Kitchen, Boiling Society

[Hei appears on the Plane, with an expression like he's looking for something. He looks a bit different today. He's wearing quite a few layers, unlike last time--Diva's mansion is still warm, but in Tokyo winter is starting. And you might notice that Hei is starting to grow his hair out.]

[He's also carrying a generator, which he sets down near the Astral Kitchen. He then raids the kitchen, opening cupboards and the refrigerator. Eventually he stands up and shakes his head.]

Not here...where did I leave them?

Has anyone seen a bag of leeks?

Hei-san...

[Looks at the ground for a minute before she starts talking] It's not really the same, but I don't know my mom at all. She left me and my dad right after I was born. She just disappeared from the hospital and didn't go home--my dad tried to find her for a long time.

[Shrug] So... I don't know. Maybe it's a little bit the same--we both lost someone. But... I'm sure it was harder for you.

[Stares at her for awhile.] ...I didn't know that.

I guess...it is a little bit the same.

[Shrug] I don't talk about it a whole lot. I mean, people know I don't have a mom, and they make fun of me and say I was abandoned, but they don't really know that I was. She hurt my dad a lot.

[Taps the toe of her shoe against the plane, blushing and looking away.] Sorry. I'm talking too much.
