What are metabugs?

[pulls up a screen in the meantime, with pictures of different kinds of metabugs] They're like...kinda like software patches! But in raw form, you can't use 'em until someone refines them into metatags. They've got all kind of properties. Like, these here- [points at a sharply-angled, reddish metabug] -is explosive.

[He takes them out and puts them on so he can see the screens and stuff. Also, kids with explosives. That worries him slightly.] How explosive?

[spreads his fingers and waves his arms in a wide arc, making a loud "ba-kooom!" kinda noise in the back of his throat]

REALLY explosive. Just one of these babies will singe your eyebrows off. [cackles a bit]

[Nuclear explosions do not just singe off eyebrows] Huh...

[not impressed with your lack of being impressed]
