[The Master is ambling along, hands clasped behind his back, an air of disinterest to his person]
[This is in great contrast to his companion, the Doctor, who is smiling quietly]
[after some time, in a light, callous voice, the Master speaks] I feel minds. Echoes of our own.
...Hm? Oh, that's interesting, isn't it? I wonder which ones. [scratches the back of his head] Seems to be some other people around.
Ohh, blessed relief. I could kiss someone for this. I would kiss my wife, but apparently that's not allowed. Really, Doctor, jealousy is no reason to forbid me conjugal visits.
[shoves his hands into his pockets] It's for her sake. She needs a chance to recover, assuming there's anything left of her in there.
She's not the only broken thing I've touched. [reaches a hand out to the Doctor's cheek, just brushing it] Destroyer of worlds.
[gives him a hard look] I think...we should find out where we are. It might be related to the trap from earlier.
[grins and spins around, holding his arms out in welcome to the space around them] Hello! Hello, hello, anyone and everyone. I'm the Master—sorry, I'm the Prisoner, and this is my loving captor, the Jailor.
[only half paying attention] I'm the Doctor, actually.
Would anyone care to inform as to where we are? Lovely scenery, though. [nudges the Doctor, nodding to a constellation] That looks like Kasterborous. Interesting.
[looks curiously up at the constellation] It does. In fact, I think it is. Now that's a bit telling.
Do you suppose it's taken out of our minds? It's a pretty obvious bit of scenery to throw in there. Absolutely destroys the realism. Who'd put Andromeda next to the Trapeloid?
Someone who doesn't know their galactic movements very well. I suppose this could be a projection. I haven't seen a system yet that I haven't been too personally.
[pulls a bag of Jelly Babies out of his pocket and pauses just before popping one into his mouth] Say whatever sniveling, wet sentiment you need to say about the stars and the constellations before I start eating. I'd hate to vomit out perfectly good jelly babies.
[rolls his eyes] Let's find out what's going on first. And then we can admire the construction of this. [snatches a Jelly Baby]
[slaps the Jelly Baby out of the Doctor's hand, catching it and popping it into his mouth with a smug grin]
[glares quite sulkily]
((ooc: Blue is for the Doctor and red is for the Master. Also, they'll totally be threadhopping on each other and other people, so fair warning.))

I always did wonder how you got off that planet.
no subject
I'm afraid you'll get no answers from me, Doctor. I'm still on it.
no subject
Oh? [looks around] Is this some sort of...artificially created nexus point, then?
no subject
[he then sneers] Your TARDIS won't be able to get you off planet. I do hope you've been trapped on one of the most unpleasant places that the universe has managed to bring into creation.

I suppose you ought to get used to the scenery, hmm, my dear Doctor? I hope you're adverse to tans. I expect you'll be getting one eventually.

Of all the bodies to get, I end up looking like Mr. Tyler. No matter.
[back to proper conversation]
I do think that in the grand scheme of things, being taken from a planet of various animal-like inhabitants is all too common. And greetings to you as well, self.
no subject
One might question the reasoning behind that. And my dearest Doctor has made an enemy of the dolphins. I was thinking of sparking chaos out there next week, but as it seems we'll be staying there a while, I suppose I'll play the long game.
no subject
[chuckles] That you shall. Then again, longer games can provide so much more interest. [a pause] Now... do tell me. What is that 'prisoner' and 'jailor' nonsense?
no subject
[eyes narrow; this clearly isn't something he's happy about, and not something he wants to explain to his self]
Our dear Doctor, having destroyed Gallifrey and all of the Time Lords save ourselves, has become lonely. So he seeks to alleviate this loneliness by holding me as a pet in that decrepit TARDIS of his, and aims to reform me.
[scoffs, but then smiles]
I'll break him, though. He's easy to manipulate, because he knows I'm manipulating him - knows that he's succumbing to my manipulations - and he doesn't care. He's that lonely. I'd go so far as to say a combination of a martyr's complex, survivor's guilt, Stockholm Syndrome and his own masochism have led him to loving me. It's only time before he comes to see things our way.
no subject
I do wish us luck on that. I've a much easier time with the Doctor I've been granted, but I do believe that ought to be a private discussion between ourself.
[he flashes himself a fanged grin]
Of course, the fact you are in a TARDIS shall make that infinitely more difficult. Things... cross here, self. You're on that tropical planet and I'm on this bloody one, and yet I could walk right up to where the Doctor's TARDIS is without having so much as stepped foot off of the savannah.
As well, there are... multiple universes. The Doctor here - not yours, but the Fifth - for example, is a case of that. Miss Fumie Hashimoto is an... 'ally' of mine. She's quite useful in getting information and technology. Sam Tyler... mmm, pet project. Same with Gene Hunt.
no subject
As if each universe was lain atop the others? Interesting. But I'll find a way to turn this to my advantage.
Hm... Is the Fifth - actually. I'd much rather catch up to you somewhere private. [glances at the Doctor in irritation, and then back to himself] Any suggestions, self?
no subject
[he growls in minor annoyance]
If you are stuck in the TARDIS, we cannot meet in person. Despite overlain universes, we cannot see what is in the other one. So the TARDIS could be right in front of me and I would see nothing.
I'm afraid here is the only place in which it can be done, and even then...
[hmph]

Then you find a place and I will find you.

Do you know much about who's in charge here? They must have quite the technology to do all this. [nods at a random galaxy passing above them]

Three people. The twins: Lapis and Lazuli, and Miss Meredith Sault.

But if you want questions answered, Lapis and Lazuli can give you answers.

[raises eyebrow] 'Answers' or answers?
