[ She has her hands out in front of her, cupped, and her eyes are closed. She's concentrating very deeply, if the way her brow is knitting is any indication. Eventually she opens her eyes, and stares, disbelieving, at her empty hands. She then starts pacing, kneading her hands and looking worried. ]

L-- Hei, I can't. [ She rubs her hands together. ] It's gone.

[ The tears are imminent ] It's gone, it's back to how it was before, I can't...

What is gone? [Steps closer.] Angela, what is it?

My magic! My magic, I can't... I can't do anything.

Your...but shouldn't that be impossible? It's part of you, isn't it?

It's-- mana's in everything, but not everyone can control it. I couldn't before and I can't. I can't now. [ This is seriously freaking her out. ]

It's got to be the Twins. Is it just you? Is anyone else in your world affected?

I don't know, I don't think-- everyone would be panicking if that was the case. I came here soon as I realized I couldn't do anything.

... You alright?

I'm-- [ She stops, looks down at her hands again. ] No. Not really.

What happened? Or... [glances to her hands, too] What didn't happen?

I can't... My magic's gone. Completely.

Just like that?

Alright. Well that's something at least.

It is. [ She doesn't sound terribly reassured. ]

[ Little nod ]

[And because he likes to think he knows a thing or two about magic and it disappearing...] Could.. someone have taken it away?

I think the Twins here did. They like to... play with people. And taking that away is definitely playing with me.

The Twins? Seriously? They can.. do stuff like that?

They can. They've done worse to others, made them invisible to important people, made them think they were other people. Most the time they experiment on us one at a time, but now and then everyone gets put through it at once. They messed with me before, made me think a friend and my mother were old enemies of mine. Eventually I was hallucinating here, too.

That... That's just great. [Pauses, then asks;] But it's all undone after a while?

Nothing's lasted, so far. But it can have some lasting affects, depending on what they do. If people find out I can't use magic again...

[Skips over the 'again' for now.] What? What will happen?
