2.

[Jolyne appears sitting on a bench from the exercise yard with a somewhat worn baseball glove on one hand. She's busy poking at the bandages wrapped around her midsection, but doesn't seem as if she'll be trying to take them off anytime soon... especially not since F.F. had practically demanded she let the bullet wounds heal already.]

...how long's it been and they still hurt like a mother. Augh. [She prods at the bandages again.] So damn itchy...!

I hear you're not supposed to do that.

I know you're not supposed to get shot; got lectured about it last time it happened. Poking the holes has never been much of an issue with me, however.

How much longer is it estimated your wound will need?

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2008-09-22 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Then I suppose it'll take some time yet.

[waves a hand] Time Lord, meaning my cells regenerate very quickly. Gunshot wound can usually be dealt with within a day, depending on what's hit.

You'll find most Time Lords have fancy titles of their own. It's a Gallifreyan thing. But yes! Lord of Time. Time sensitivity, travelling capabilities in time, supposed to be guardians of, blah blah blah. Very useful! Lots of fun, most of the time. Bit of a headache when it comes to time anomalies like Captain Jack Harkness.

If a man in a greatcoat start's flirting with you, you'll know you've found the one.

I don't think I got your name, though?

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2008-09-22 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[smiles back] I prefer to go by 'Master,' actually. I did warn you about the names.

Oh, the crowds love me! Or, alternately, hate me, but, hey, I do always get a reaction. And any strong emotion is one worth having, or so it goes.

There was a young lady who liked to call me 'toe rag.' I did adore the girl, such a shame she had to die in the War.

Ace was certainly a unique girl.

Possibly, but I wouldn't say that to her. Nitro 9 is rather explosive.

[he smiles quite happily at her]

Easy to make if you know how.

Not true! Just the other day I was confronted by how much effort it takes to create a paradox machine, even having the experience I do.

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2008-09-26 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Paradox machines allow paradoxes to exist. Generally particular paradoxes, such as, say, humanity's descendants coming back in time to slaughter them before they have a chance to go and create those descendants. The grandfather paradox, you know? There are legends about Grandfather Paradox on my planet, or, er, were, rather. At any rate! The mechanics behind it are complicated, but the basic idea is to use a TARDIS to anchor to, essentially, anchor two contradictory timelines, allowing one to move into the other.

Nore or less!
