016 - The lady stands in her bower door / As straight as a willow wand

[She appears in her little grotto in the woods, which now looks quite comfortable, actually. There's an oilcloth lean-to set up against one of the trees cushions spread under it, a neatly stacked pile of firewood, even the beginnings of a garden near the stream. She drops a bag on the ground, pulls her sheathed sword free from her belt and drops it on top.

She looks troubled by something, perhaps a little dazed.]

...at least I'm home. At least I can come home.

[Starts unpacking her little bag. A few sets of clothes, nonperishables... She shrugs again.] You're asking odd questions, is all. How did you know about that place?

You told me about it. ... ah! [Roots around in his pockets for a moment and pulls out the glowstone.] You said your friend from there made this for you.

[Looks blanky at it] I've never seen that before, lad.

... You gave it to me. After you.. found out about Zeronos, you gave it to me.

[Shakes her head.] Sorry again, but I've no recollection of that.

[Instead of answering, he brings it to his mouth and blows very gently.]

[For a moment, there seems to be something like recognition in her eyes--then it's gone.]

You have been there. Why did you say you hadn't? At least now I know the place is real.

[He closes his hands over the stone and shakes his head.] I haven't, but... it's as real as anyone else's reality. Yet, why don't you...?

[Sigh. She doesn't seem to hear the last bit.] I suppose I'm lucky to have gone so long without getting dropped into one of my own.

[Giving him a WTF look again] Worlds, one of my own worlds. Having everyone there acting as though they know me is a bit more unsettling than I thought it would be.
