[002] stars shining bright above you

[Because the mun is really very slow about these things and apologizes for it -- a Doctor is sprawled out on the Plane (because the "a" is a necessary article, given that there are, in fact, several Doctors that could exist here at any given moment). His head is pillowed by his hands, and the pull on his sleeves reveals the barest hint of bruising on his wrists, hidden beneath the fabric. On his lower lip and on his right brow are scabbed-over cuts, and on his left cheek is a lovely, vivid sort of bruise.

At the moment it would seem that he has no inclination to move from his spot on the lovely Plane floor, though what he's doing just lying there is anyone's best guess--]

Ah, there's Eta Canis Majoris.

[-- . . . Right. Nevermind that last narration. He seems to be doing a bit of star gazing -- and surprisingly, despite the fact that he's obviously been in a bit of a scuffle, he looks relatively serene. Relatively. By which we mean he doesn't look entirely angry. Much.]

Yep. [He's pointing out another star now] There's Sirius -- imagine that being the chest of a dog. Then Eta Canis Majoris is the tail, and Zeta Canis Majoris is its rear foot. That help?

[Ryotarou follows the pointing once again, and.. starts to smile a little as the constellation comes together.] Yeah... it does.

Ah, good. [he slips his hand back under his head.] Most constellations are rubbish, honestly. Have to give 'em a hand for being so imaginative with them, really.

Just how people see pictures. 'Cause it's all relative, you know. Someone see a kitty, someone else sees a swing-set, then someone entirely different sees a toaster. That sort of thing.

Still, it's sort of nice, I reckon. [he smiles faintly] Imagination knows no limitations, eh?

[Nods.] Definitely.

[he scans the sky and picks out another star -- only this time he doesn't point it out, just nods towards it] And just there's Elusian 6. Always meant to visit there just once. At sundown the hills glow blue, when the glow bugs start to wake up and get about.

[His gaze follows the nod, and he tries to pick out the star the Doctor means.] Meant to? Then... you haven't been there before?

[he shakes his head] Big universe, you know. Can't have been everywhere, you know, nine hundred years old or not.

You hear stories about places. Books, brochures, word of mouth. That sort of thing.
