[Appears amidst a rising cloud of steam, coughing and gagging. Guess who's been working on truth serums since his last conversation with Jack? Guess who just had one BLOW UP IN HIS FACE? Yup. Firo. Only, he has a unique problem now. Because ask him a question, and he WILL tell you the truth. It just might not be the truth about, you know, him. It could be the truth about a ten year old boy or about Szilard. THANKS TO ALL THOSE LIVES UP IN HIS HEAD? Well. Keeping his stories straight will take effort.

Oh, and due to a little side-effect that Firo built in to the serums so that Jack wouldn't dodge out on him again? He's going to be too dizzy/headachey to leave the plane.]

Firo? [ Angela will be patting him gently on the back now, looking concerned. ] What happened?

I went on a trip for biscuits. [Cough, gag, sneeze]

I wasn't aware biscuits were explosive.

[That makes him laugh, at least.] Means it was a pointless thing to do.

[ Brow lift. ] What trouble have you gotten yourself in this time, Firo?

[Nothing, says his brain. Says his tongue--] Inhaled unstable strains of a truth serum I've been playing with.

And why were you making a truth serum?

To get someone to answer questions.

Well, duh.

Who?

Jack.

Who's Jack?

'nother immortal.

And what kind of questions were you going to force him to answer?

'bout himself. His immortality.

There might be a good reason why he doesn't want to talk about it with you, Firo.

[Gritting his teeth] I need to know if there's another way.

And once he trusts you with that information, he'll tell you. Making truth serums... it's not right, Firo. It's dangerous.

I know it's dangerous. [Ignoring the "not right" part for now >>] But he's two thousand something. He's not telling me anything any time soon, and I can't afford to wait.

Firo... Look, there's got to be a different way to get the information you need out of him. [ She folds her arms and looks at him. ] Look, Firo, if you ran into a police officer right now and he asked where your pub was, you'd have to tell him. Then your whole family would be in trouble. If you encountered someone who was looking for me, or Dino, or one of your other friends here, you'd have to say where we were, you'd have to tell them anything they asked, even if it put us in danger.

You shouldn't just do things like this, Firo. It's irresponsible. You can't do things this way, all right? There are a lot of people who this can affect badly.

[Looks away] S' a risk. I admit it. But there's things at stake--if he's got another way of doing this, then it could be pos... [He trails off and shakes his head]

There are immortals in lots of different worlds, Firo. There were some in mine, too. It's scary that there might be really bad people out there who might get ahold of immortality, but it's silly to take a chance like this because of a slim possibility.

Besides, how do you know he even knows how?

He's hinted as much.

Hinted? [ Sigh ] Firo, you are much too easy to bait.

[Glare] I am not.

[ Smile ] You are.
