[There is a ninja somewhere off to the side of the Plane kitchen. Actually, no, he's not a ninja. He's a Time Lord trying to cook in private. And by 'cook' I mean he's having too much fun flipping the pancake to actually cook it properly. That poor pancake. Pity it. It's being juggled in the pan. But he's dragged over enough equipment and ingredients to sit around and try to cook pancakes in what he hopes is a low traffic area.

Side story! He's trying to cook here instead of on his TARDIS because there was a chance the Master would come in raiding for scones and ruin his amazing cooking process. Blame the Master for everything.

So there you have it. A cooking Doctor]

((ooc: Tagging may be slow as I'm getting my RP drive back finally, which you may have noticed I've been missing. But I'm giving it a go, so! ♥))

Ahhh, well, I was sort of...trying to learn cooking for a similar reason. I thought it might be good to know, in case I really had to cook.

That requires a bit more concentration than you seem to posses for these things.

Oi, I've got plenty of concentration, thanks.

[He's pulling out ham and green peppers now, along with a cutting board and a knife he manages to find after a bit of rummaging] You were sitting here flipping a pancake, not even waiting the minute it'd take to cook each side.

[he rubs the back of his neck] Ahh, well, that was mostly...because I was enjoying the flipping part.

Like I said; you lack the concentration when it comes to cooking. [He's chopping the ham now, quickly followed by the green peppers]

[The Doctor is watching him cook] Maybe it's not really my thing.

Maybe not. You seem to be good at plenty of other things. [He pushes that aside, then sets the pan on the stove to heat while he starts cracking the eggs, pouring them into a bowl one by one and placing the shells in the sink]

[grins, giving a proud sniff at that] Well, I am brilliant.

[rolls his eyes] And you'll either starve, set things n fire, or both the day you have no one to cook for you.

I'd manage! I haven't starved yet.

How many times have you made an actual edible meal for yourself, with no one's help? [And he's beating the eggs as he talks, because there might as well be something obvious done while they act like their immature selves]

[he's pouting again, probably leaning even heavier onto his hands and thus looking like a sulky boy] I've made several very good meals.

[Sorry Doctor, this simply amuses Jack. It does not convince him you should be allowed in a kitchen] Really?

Yes, really! Usually just...sandwiches and salads...toast! Waffles, sometimes.

You can only survive on sandwiches and toast for so long before you get bored, you know. [He's adding the onions and peppers to the eggs, mixing it slightly before pouring the whole thing into the heated pan. He smiles at the sizzling noise it makes]

Well, there's usually cafes or restaurants around where I land. [the Doctor looks quite happy at the sizzling. Bottomless pit stomach here]

Which doesn't count as 'cooking for yourself'. [Then again, Jack is not one to talk; he practically lives on take out]

[and he points that out!] And you cook all the time?

[Hey! No arguing with the person that is currently making you food] That's different; not all of us have a Time Machine and no paperwork to fill out.

[point! The Doctor does want food] Well, all right, you've got a point there.

[Good choice Doctor! Temporary surrender shall earn you a free meal. Jack grins, then sets on turning over the omelet]

[happy to just watch Jack cook for the moment, just drumming his fingers on the counter]

[He puts a top over the pan, then settles back as he waits for it to cook, glancing at the Doctor] You're going to love it.

[quite happily] I think I will. It looked very lovely just in the pan.
