{Dietrich is, as always, because he never does anything interesting (directly) at home, at his desk. He leans back in his chair with a sigh, peeling off the pair of very long and very blood stained surgical gloves and tossing them to the side. He was working quite diligently on making his Autojagers today! Which, really, is a sick thing to work on, but.}

If only it were easier to do. Humans don't stand up to the stress, so I have to use Methuselah, but even then it's so messy. Brainwashing and drugs don't affect them at all, so the only option left is to remove the front of the brain. At least that way there's no pain or exhaustion in them, but the lack of any semblance of intelligence is a disadvantage in the long run. I really don't understand why I'm always the one that has to prepare the corpses, since it's something even an idiot could do if you just told them what to do.

{Le sigh~} It's really tiring.

Unfortunately because of their high resistance to toxins, we've not been able to find something effective. And...haven't been able to develop it. But that second part isn't surprising considering medicine and drug development in my world.

{Which is all he says on that matter before continuing,} Though, children would be harder anyways. Methuselah, after all, they live for a very long time. Like a "child" to them might be over 30 years old. Besides, dealing with a child's corpse, it's much sadder than an adult's who died recklessly in a petty fight.

Not really at all. They're more like...I suppose you could call them reanimated corpses more than anything, as morbid as that sounds.

I would hope so! Ah, but forgive me, I haven't introduced myself. I'm Dietrich. Dietrich von Lohengrin. {And as polite etiquette dictates, he very gently takes Henrietta's hand to kiss the knuckle. The polite and charming Dietrich is a gentleman, after all}

I suppose that's closer to it, yes. If you'd like, I can show you one, but they're a little...intimidating.

We call them Autojagers. Not very pleasant, really, but they're just what my superiors wanted, so...

{It doesn't so much as flinch, but the body is a solid mass of machinery and muscle, perfectly enhanced by Dietrich and other "scientists" of the RCO} Excellent. Because we use Methuselah, they're very resilient. They don't "die" easily at all and tend to retain their powers as they had in life. Like one of the best is what we call an "Ifrit-type", so it's able to manipulate heat and flames.

Um. Not really. He's sort of in charge of the rest of the fratello, but he didn't make us, and Signore Jose is in charge of me.

Ah, I see. Fratello, I guess that would be others like you, correct? I'm not very good at Italian, I'm afraid, so that's a guess more than anything.

Um. I think you would say it means, 'sibling' or 'brother'? A fratello is a cyborg and their handler. Signore Jean is in charge of everybody. He's Rico's fratello.
