[A very tiny and rather startled girl appears on the Plane amidst a puff of dust.]

Whoa! What the...? Hey! [Toph taps a foot against the ground.] What kind of ground is this?

[The surprise is quickly turning to anger.] Alright, what's the big idea? This is some kind of trick, isn't it? Well you picked the wrong girl to mess with!

[She looks every which way, milky eyes never focusing on anything.] Come out here and face me! I can feel you out there!

[She slides one foot across the Astral floor and a look of worry crosses her face.]

Oh wow! That's so awesome! Weasel's gonna flip when he sees this. Though I doubt he'll be happy about having to make me another sword...

Anyway, I'm sure everyone else has already filled you in on the goings on of this place, right?

[Folds her arms.] You're lying. And you know that I can normally bend earth. How?

[Headtilt.] Huh! Well, alright then. [Folds her arms and grins.] A fan, huh? I haven't had fans since I was the Blind Bandit.

So you can still see fine without any actual earth on the ground?

Yeah! It's pretty weird, actually. Vibrations travel through this ground like normal, but it's not earth at all. Not metal, even.

So... what were you up to before you got here?

[Sits down on the ground with a sigh.] The Earth Kingdom fell a few weeks ago. We were hiding out on a Fire Nation ship for awhile, but we had to leave. And now we're hiding out in the Fire Nation itself.

That's pretty awesome. I'd start going around without shoes myself if I didn't know that my feet wouldn't callous anyway.

Oh I heal really quick, so I wouldn't develop callouses and stuff. My healing won't cure the hideous scars and tumors I already had, but as far as I know, I can't get new ones.
