[after spending the last few days either holed up in his office or beating the crap out of baddies (more so than usual, really), Gene has retreated to the Astral Plane where he may or may not be looking over a letter that may or may not be from Sam that may or may not have actually been written by Gene to fool his CID. it's half-finished and, after a moment, the Guv scowls and balls it up, tossing it away]

[he waves a gloved hand as if to dispel the air]

[smirks and takes a long draw]

[and here he steps away, but still keeps his overall pose and stance]
