[ So Angela's lantern expedition has been going pretty well for now. With Firo and Dino's help, she's set them up at the hot springs and the pool so no one falls into either, and they're headed back to the coliseum with only a couple lanterns left. Only Angela has spotted a new building. And she's currently inspecting it. ]

Looks like this place is unlit. I wonder if anyone is in there. Hello? [ She knocks on the door, but gets no answer, then looks over her shoulder at Dino and Firo. ] Well, we do have a couple lanterns left...

(OOC: Since it's not Thursday yet, Angela's powers haven't kicked in just yet. They will, though, since it'll be Thursday on the east coast soon (shhh I am not cheating the system).)

Are you sure you want to go in Angela?

There might be blankets and somewhere to sleep in there. Plus it's closer to the coliseum than the theater is, in case we need shelter.

[Deep breath, lantern in hand and he shoves inside--and freezes.] Uh. I don't think we wanna know whose place this is.

What do you mean? [Pushes past Firo so he can see.] Okay...you're right. We don't want to know what this place is. Or where it came from.

[ Curious Angela is curious. She pushes through both of them, and the door closes behind her. Then she stares. There are... devices, to put it lightly, everywhere. And is that a cross? And a stretcher with hand and foot restraints? ] ... Wow.

[Firo ....stares. He's done his fare share of torture, but fuck. This is elaborate.]

We should maybe... go. And figure out how to lock this place up.

[Dino has seen some bad things before, but he finds this very disturbing.] That might be a good idea..

M-maybe we should... [ Angela's backing up, though not exactly in the right direction. She trips over her own feet and grabs onto the nearest thing to keep herself from falling, the cross. Her gloves catch on a couple of stray nails and tear off. She finds herself on the floor of the room, nursing a bleeding palm. ]

Ow.

[Firo kneels down next to her, going D: because the mun is too tired to properly describe his expression. He offers his hand to help her up, inspecting her hand worriedly.] Come on, lets get out of here, clean that up.

[ Angela will totally be getting up in a moment, she's staring at... something. Nothing in the room, actually, there's really nothing in front of her that should be that captivating-- except she's seeing threads, which look like rainbow colored smoke, constantly twisting and turning and changing colors. She continues to stare at them vacantly as she takes Firo's hand. ] Do you guys see that? Those things, the air here...

Hey, I thought you were going to help me up, Firo.

... Firo?

[Rushes down to see what's going on] Angela? Are you all right?

I'm okay, but... Firo's... What's going on? [ She waves a hand in front of Firo's face, but he doesn't respond. He's completely frozen, with the same expression, completely unmoving. He doesn't even seem to be breathing. ]

...Firo? [Dino snaps his fingers in front of Firo's face] What the heck...?

Is it... these things? [ Angela reaches out, and to Dino it looks as if she's grabbed a handful of air, but Angela has purposely grabbed a hold of one of the smoky threads in the air. She gives it a tug.

And the lantern goes out. Way to fast-forward the light source until it runs out of oil, Angela. ]

[FSFKLSFJKS] Angela, what did you just do?

[She's heading for the lanterns, really. When she sees the steel door and the lanterns are gone, well, naturally, she tries the door. And sort of stops dead on the other side because she's stepped into a nice, shiny vision of PANDORA.]

Oh god. God. No. No no.

[[AND YOU GET TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE. Crazy!Misaki wandered of and Hei woke up in time to see her leaving. AREN'T WE NICE TO OUR MUSES?]]

[And Hei has been searching all over for Misaki since goddamn it's hard to find one's way in pitch darkness, even with lights to focus on. Oh and hey, Angela and Firo and Dino are here as well.]

Misaki, I've been looking everywhere for you. [Carefully and tentatively slides his hand into hers.] Are you...?

[Oh. There's a torture chamber on the Plane. Not that Hei has never seen a torture chamber before. He tenses, all his senses alert in case the owner is around.]

Who would bring something like this to--

[Oh.]

[There's a cross.]

[And nails.]

[Shit. Shit shit shitshitshitshit. There's a moment of pure, unadulterated panic.]

[Then Hei squeezes his eyes shut, takes several deep breaths and gets himself back under control, though it takes awhile. His grip tightens on Misaki's hand.]

We're getting out of here.

[Guess who looks up from dealing with a frozen Firo] Hei? What are you doing here?

[Rather sharply,] I was trying to find Misaki. What are you doing here? [He doesn't think Dino or Firo or their Families are capable of owning something like this, but then again, yakuza are unpredictable. And Hei has been horribly wrong about people before. And, well...that cross is distracting.]

[Pale and watching herself get stretched out on the rack at the moment while white-coated monsters with spurs of bone sticking out of their backs and oozing shadow hover over her. They have live wires in their hands.]

I think they want to kill me.

Angela saw this place while we were gathering supplies and wanted to see what was inside. Then she fell before we could get out of here.

....Miaski?

Who the hell decided to bring this here? [Not looking at the cross, not looking at the cross, not even thinking about who it might belong to...]

Misaki. [Rounds in front of her, hopefully putting himself between her and whatever she's seeing. He grips her shoulder] I won't let them, alright? I'll kill them before they can even try.

[He glances back at Dino.] She's hallucinating. She got bitten by one of the things living in the Gate.

[Annnnd they are applying the wires. She flinches, staring over Hei's shoulder and watching her body spasm. It is very, very strange to see yourself being killed.]

...you're a little late.

[Comes up to see if I can help] After this is all over I intend to find out who this belongs too.

What the hell was she doing in the Gate?

[Hei knows. He sees it every night. And those words are slightly heartbreaking.]

...No. Not this time.

She was hunting the gang. There was a bomb threat and--look, can--can we close that door, please? It's not exactly helping her. [Or him, but he's not going to mention that.] We should lock this place up and...

...Why is Firo not moving?

[The rack-bound Misaki is still for a second, and then starts to glow.]

Oh no. No. Not this time. Not again.

[And guess who made a point of sneaking her gun back from Deadpool before she left? She bulls inside and empties the entire clip into the rack, and then stares at the contraption in confusion. The white-coated-things are gone and so is the Contractor-version of herself.]

I don't know what's the matter with Firo. He was checking on Angela after she fell and then he just..stopped. When don't know what... [Swears and throws himself on the ground out of reflex when she stars firing, the flame on his ring flaring to life before he manages to calm himself down and it does out.]

Just stopped? He's not even--

Shit. [Hei freezes until Misaki is done firing, then storms in after her and wrenches the gun from her grip. He dismantles it and slips each piece into a separate pocket. Then he grabs Misaki's hands again.]

I'm going to take you away from here, alright? We're going now. [He's pale and shaking now, partially because GODDAMN IT MISAKI THAT WAS SCARY and partially because he's now in the same room as that cross.]

Dino, we should all get out of here. Can we move Firo?

[Dino has noticed something is wrong with Hei and the dawning realization of exactly where they were and what Hei had been through. He might not know the details, but this place has to be bringing up bad memories.] Get Misaki out of here first, this place is upsetting her. I'll drag Firo out if I have too.

[Nods and shakes himself out.]

Alright. Let's go, Misaki. We're leaving. We're getting out of here, alright? They're not going to hurt you anymore.

[He starts steering her away.]

[To Dino,] We'll wait out where she can't see it. You should be able to find us. [Indicates the glowing.]

[Nods in response] I'll meet you outside. After that we can lock this place up.

[Oh, hai, Hei, YOU JUST TURNED INTO ONE OF THE THINGS. She wrenches away, backs up, trips over Firo--who doesn't move an inch--and falls flat on her back in front of Angela.

She needs her gun. Because now they are all the things. WHY IS THE GUN GONE?]

[ Angela is staring at everyone now, looking completely perplexed. ]

Li? Misaki? When did you?

[ She lets go of the string of smoky time-thread she's been pulling. ]

[Annnd they all melt back into themselves.]

...hello, Angela.

[Hei will be going over and grabbing Misaki again and pulling her away from the fricking torture chamber :|]

We've been here awhile, Angela...you didn't notice?

We're leaving now, though.

You really didn't notice the gunshots Angela?

Get her out of here Hei. [A bit to distracted to notice which name he's using, sorry.]

Gun...shots? [ Nope, but hey, there weren't holes in that harness thing before, were there? ] No, I-- I pulled one of those things, and the light went out, so I pulled another and now Li and Misaki are here...

Who's Hei? Is someone else here? [ She gets up, hurrying over to catch Hei on the shoulder. ] Wait, when did you two get here?
