[Four people are picking their way through the darkness, following a glowing bubble of gold and blue light. The light runs along a wire held by Mu, who is walking at the front, glowing gold. Next is Hei, who is glowing blue and looks pale--he's hallucinating badly. Last comes Deadpool, sans his usual red outfit and mask, his skin covered in scars and tumors, carrying a limp Misaki.]

Just stay awake Misaki, alright? No falling asleep. We're almost there.

Li... [She's not really coherent at this point, wax pale and sweating, her eyes open but not seeming to register anything in front of them.] What happened...?

That's not Li, Misaki, that's Hei. She doesn't seem like she's getting much better.

[Ignoring Deadpool and responding to Misaki] You're injured, likely in shock. I can't see well enough to tell.

We're heading for the b-- [Hei pauses and stumbles a bit before catching himself, forcing himself to focus.] --the ballroom. I think.

Heard about that place. Sounds like a good place to go. Shelter and clothes. Probably other guys too.

So how do we find this place? Everything looks the same and we can't really see well to boot.

I'm following my intuition.

[Weak chuckle.] Don't underestimate a Saint.

[She stirs briefly, glaring at nothing in particular. She certainly sounds coherent.] Calling him a woman is hardly underestimating him, Hei. [Blink.] Where did the sky go?

[Smiles to himself.] Didn't...mean it that way, Misaki. [Stumbles again and briefly rubs his forehead.] The stars went out. But they'll be back. And until then we've got some light. [The glow around his outline intensifies a fraction.]

...Anyone know any traveling songs?

Clearly you people misunderestimate the importance of dual identities. It is a subject I'm very familiar with and trust me, Li and Hei are two different people.

I don't think she's hallucinating anymore, though. That's a relief.

I'm not hungry. Give it to Misaki. Think I should grind some up and force feed Hei?

[Staring at the tray.] It's moving. [Blink] Are pigs normally that small?

[... looks at the tray. Then back to Misaki.] Um.. no...

[and to Deadpool] Shouldn't we let him sleep?

[Looks at him like he's nuts.] I'm not eating that! [Looks back at the food, which is still moving, blobs of it turning into little multicolored piglets and wandering around the tray.] And I'm not tired.

[Just... steps away for now to get a blanket from where he'd left them folded up to drape over Hei. The guy definitely doesn't need to get sick on top of hallucinating.]

Misaki, you don't have much choice.

Misaki, you're just hallucinating again. The food is fine. God, this is bonkers... Well, I guess I should be glad she doesn't look like a baby too.

...That was an unpleasant memory...

I have as much choice as anyone else here except Hei. [One of the pigs has turned into an egg]

[Promptly stops glowing except for his hands] If you don't eat, I will douse this as well.

OK, chill out dude. You'll just freak her out more. I thought you were Saint. Aren't you guys supposed to be patient?

Seriously though, Misaki, it's either eat or rest. We can't risk you straining yourself.

[Busy staring at Mu, whose edges--along with the Glamour--have started to fray. He's unraveling, and soon only his hands are left, suspended in the air. In and out of that light bob insects that slowly turn into fairy versions of people; contractors, glowing and laughing and attacking the light.

Her hands twist into the sleeping bag.]

[Relights himself] My patience is far from eternal, and this entire affair is frustrating. Moreover, I cannot keep this up forever.

[Gets Misaki in a sleeper hold of minimal force. Yeah, he knows how to do that.]

[Her automatic reaction is to dig her nails in as deep as she can, but she's weak and already on the way out. Her eyelids flutter shut and she goes slack.]
