[Firo is in the back of the theater brooding in a Manly Fashion. He has a bottle of absinthe in one hand and he's drinking straight from it, gagging and spitting at the taste. In his lap there's a little canvas sack; on his neck, a blood stain he missed while cleaning himself up.

He happens to be in a less than sociable mood.]

[He'll meet that look and raise Ianto a glare.] What, you're some kind of angel? All that time fighting aliens, you never killed anyone?

All right, fine. But you never enjoyed killing anything that wasn't?

The only time I've ever killed has been in the line of duty. I've never enjoyed it.

[Toasts him sarcastically with the absinthe bottle.] Role model to all us underbelly goons.

I never said I was a role model... I just said I've never enjoyed killing.

And you think you never would. [Snorts.]

[There's a little hesitation, but you'd only really notice if you were looking for it.] I doubt it.

[Guess who was looking for it?] Who?

[>\ Ianto hates you right now, Firo.] The Master.

[Firo hates the world, so I guess they're even? Sort of? Except Firo has a little twitch of a smile on his face. It is, I suppose, the Firo equivalent of a Sam Tyler shit-eating grin.]

He's different. He isn't human.

He's different, maybe, but the situation is the same. [Shrug.] I'm just easier about who it pleases me to kill.

...there are some similarities, but it's still different.

Is that what you say to make yourself feel better? When you think about the things you'd do to him?

I don't need to make myself feel better. I know I'd be justified to do that.

Here's to justice, may it make us feel good every time.

I haven't killed him.

I don't know. I don't even know if I would like it.

Don't tell me you've never thought about it, either.

[And Ianto's ~~vaguely~~ very pissed off.] Thinking about something, and actually doing something are two completely different things.

So. What've you thought about doing, then?

Nothing that's any of your business.
