[Hei is out well away from the main traffic of the Plane. He doesn't want anyone to see what he is doing--which is practicing on his brand-spanking-new Air Trecks.]

[He's even doing pretty well! He's good at balancing anyway, but it's the motors that he's trying to get used to. He pushes forward a little and bolts off across the Plane, arms spread a little for balance. It's a moment or two before he remembers how to brake. He continues like that for awhile, stopping and starting, until he accidentally pushes forward too hard, overcompensates and falls flat on his butt.]

[He blinks a little before smiling to himself.]

Heh. Harder than it looks.

[And Hei clutches his head as a flashback hallucination overtakes him without warning. It's the Gate, but the Masters are there. Glowing flowers, the rattle of metal trees, the constant howling. Wires, hands at his throat, fingers at his temples, pounding drums, blood, laughter, pain, so, so much pain.]

[Hei digs his nails into his scalp.] Nngh...sorry, I'm sorry, I'm...

[didorothy]

[steps forwards to put his hands on Hei's shoulders, then steps back, hands still held back, frowning]

I'm going to go away now, okay? I'm going to leave you alone.

[contract_star]

[Hei barely hears him through the hallucination.]

You don't--hnnn--you don't h-have to.

[didorothy]

I'm sorry.

[and he leaves poor Hei alone]
