Well, the other time I saw them, they were in Manhattan in the 1930s and trying to create human-Dalek hybrids. The Doctor tried to work with one of them, Dalek Sec, but the other three went behind their backs.

Human hybrids? That'd drive them completely mad.

Sec wanted them to have human emotions and things, but the other three didn't like the idea - they overrode the genetics, I think, and made them more Dalek-y. But then the Doctor's DNA got thrown into the mix, too, 'cos he was on the spire of the Empire State Building when the solar flare hit, and that was enough to give them their free will back.

[Sigh] If there's one thing I've learned about Daleks and humans and DNA is that no matter which way they get spliced, it always ends up wrong.

Funny how that works. You somehow manage to wipe them out twice, and they still come back. It makes me wonder if this time is any different.
