[Lucy has decided to take a break from Diva's party and is hanging out on the Plane in this dress that Diva gave her. she's got a glass of wine in hand and a somewhat longing expression on her face as she looks at the stars surrounding her, humming a waltz quietly under her breath]

[rolls her eyes] Congratulations, Doctor. I'm certain you're quite proud of yourself.

Meh. I've had nicer.

Anyway. Why're you all dressed up? Going anywhere in particular?

I'm sure.

Why so interested, Doctor? Afraid someone will take me out before you have the chance?

I realized I have to get a new bow tie. The one I had is all frayed at the ends.

Curiosity! I'm a curious individual!

I don't believe you even have one.

Actually, you're much more an annoying individual and I'm certainly not curious about you. [ruffles her skirts] If you must know, though, I was at a party.

[huffs, vanishes, then reappears in his tuxedo, with a frayed bowtie hanging loosely around his neck]

Wait, did you say a party? Really?

[okay, so maybe she's a little impressed, since she really did think he was lying]

I stand corrected. For once.

And yes, I did. Diva, she had one here. Smashing event, really. She gave me the gown. Nothing so fancy as what you're planning, though, I'm certain, so don't worry, Doctor. You haven't been beaten. Yet.

[slightly smug. He has a tux and he looks damn good in it]

Well, I still think it's lovely. And no, not nearly as fancy as the one we'll get for you. Still. Not bad at all.

Diva...Diva...isn't she the one who's fighting with the TARDIS?

[oh, the arrogant bastard]

Perhaps. It seems we've still a ways to go before that moment, though, doesn't it?

Is she? I don't suppose I could blame her if she is. Lovely woman, though. I rather like her.

Just a little ways. Still need to get you in for fitting. Did you look through that book?

Well, I've only met her the once. Twice. Once. Not sure. The TARDIS doesn't care for her much at all.

[oh, but of course]

Mmm, I did. I must say, it was fascinating. But they've so many ways to say 'hello,' it's quite absurd. And the hand gestures, Doctor! I don't know that I can remember all those. Have you made an appointment with your tailor, or do you often show up unexpectedly?

I am not at all surprised, to be honest. But Diva is quite charming. And so well bred! After spending so much time with you, it was a pleasant change of pace.

Well, I need a refresher course, so we can practice together, that's all right. Besides, you're clever enough. You'll remember them, I don't doubt you.

And I think showing up is the best. He's usually fairly accommodating. I don't show up unless I plan to spend a good deal of money, so...

[ignores the jab about his breeding tyvm]

I suppose. [she does so love being complimented] Just so long as it doesn't turn out like the dancing did. That was dreadful.

You have money? I'd never have known, looking at what you wear all the time.

Oh, it wasn't that bad.

Well, if I don't have money I can get money. Hardly difficult with the right technology and means. And I beg your pardon, I have great sartorial taste, thank you.

Yes, it was. At least you didn't step on my toes.

[raises a brow] Isn't counterfeiting a crime, Doctor? [and yeah, she just laughs at your sartorial taste there]

But you learned what you needed to learn, am I right?

Counterfeiting? What are you talking about? I just take it. They wouldn't make those machines so easy to break into if they weren't supposed to be broken into. Victimless crime.

[Hmph!]

[she's taking a moment to just stare at you now] You steal from bank machines? And expect no one to care?

I pick planets I don't want to return to.

How terribly moral, Doctor. And this tailor of yours, he takes all sorts of currency, then?

Well, certain varieties. He's pretty flexible, s'why I like him. I think he moved past the fact that I'm a little different than the average client...oh, I think about the time I showed up with a different body.

He must have been so disappointed when you showed up with this one, then. [cups her chin in her hand, tapping her cheek with her pointer finger] There must have been a time you were at least remotely pleasant to look at.

[deadpan] All your attempts to tell me that I'm not attractive just further my opinion that you're attracted to me.

[and back to life] So! When are we taking you?

Mmmm, and you just further my belief that you're delusional.

[taps her cheek again, thoughtful] Whenever you want to go, Doctor. I've nothing else to do.

Probably. But if nothing else, I'm interesting to be around.

Right-o. [offers her his arm] Allons-y, then?

As interesting as a train wreck, certainly.

[eyes it warily, then places one hand lightly on his elbow] Andiamo, Doctor.
