[he growls, but continues on in a pleasant tone]

Oh, we had no intention of murder, Mr. Tyler. In fact, Mr. Hunt even requested I not kill the boy so he could avoid the paperwork. I was feeling generous, so I agreed.

[groans and puts his head in his hands] Why are you telling me this?

Perhaps I enjoy knowing that your world must be falling down about your head.

Perhaps I want to prove I can be just as honest as you.

Perhaps I'm doing this simply to amuse myself.

[snarls, but restrains himself from physically attacking him] You can't play with people like that. You can't fuck with people like that. Other people are not your bloody toys to bend and twist and break for your amusement.

You might play the civilised game, but you're absolutely savage, and I'm not talking about the 'virus.' You're just a wild thing clinging to self-control – to mastery – when you know you're nothing but barbaric underneath.

I'll do as I wish with who I wish.

[he growls lowly, an animalistic threat]

Trying to wound me, Mr. Tyler? Strike at some sort of weakness? It won't work. I am what I am now through careful planning, through events. I became what was required of me to survive.

[he grabs him by the shirt and jacket with one hand and immediately hefts him into the air, feet off the ground]

So if I should gut you, at this very moment, you'd not try to survive somehow? You'd just let it happen?

[he tightens his grip]

I had my reasons for surviving, and if you think that it was purely for destruction, for chaos, for slaughter, you're bloody well wrong. Those follow in my wake, but they are not the reason for my prolonged existence.

[flinches, but forces himself to meet the Master's eyes] Animals don't live for destruction. They cling to existance because that's what their instincts tell them to do.

Instinct isn't my motivation either. I've told you, I wanted to die. It was time. He offered to save my life and I turned him down, I refused to live like this!

Nobility doesn't factor into it - sarcasm or not. Then again, you'll just say something that animals are incapable of nobility, correct?

[straightens out his jacket, perhaps neurotically so, to put everything back in place] To die?
