It's not always about saving people - it's about doing the best you can for them. The best work you're capable of. You've got to know your own limitations; so many people want doctors to be capable of miracles, but that's just not possible. Sometimes, it's about knowing when to quit, both for their good and for your own sanity. [quietly] Sometimes you have to be able to perform a lesser evil for the greater good.
