[he only applies more of that tone, slightly increasing it with each word, each syllable, each letter]
Go on, Gene Genie. No one can see him. No one will ever know you did a thing. He'll never set you up again. Never break into your house again. All you have to do is...
[he makes the next two words full force, powerful and driving - yet still not an order, instead, more like the most logical and reasonable course of action possible]
[He glares at the Master, fucking bitch! But then looks at Gene, trying the puppy look even if he completely fails at it compared to Akito. ...He's so going to kick himself for begging later.]
Don't! Don't listen to him! You hate him so why would you listen to him?! You got your revenge, put me down now! ...On the roof!!
I don't bloody well hate him, you div! [frowns, something nagging at the back of his mind, but the Master's words are soothing, they make sense, and he can feel his grip loosening on the boy's shirt. after all, the bastard deserves it, right? he's been nothing but a nuisance, harassing the people in the city, meddling in business that doesn't concern him. he's a liar, manipulator...he's scum and the Guv makes sure scum are off the streets. that's all he's doing, he's just cleaning up. and when you're doing cleaning up a mess, you wipe your hands of it.
and so gene does. agito's shirt slips from Gene's fingers as the Guv pulls them away, dusting them off like he would after throwing away the trash, and he turns away, strangely numb]
[He couldn't bring out a word when he felt Gene's grip slip, he glanced one last look in Gene's eyes and couldn't believe he would be the last person he'd see. And then, he fell.
He had taken hundreds, no, thousands of jumps in his life, even of buildings higher than this one but this was the first time he was truly scared.
...yeah. Let's go. I'll take you home. [doesn't realise what's actually happened, still trapped in the Master's spell, for all intents and purposes. if he knew what he'd just done, he'd be trying to toss the Master off with Agito]
[he keeps Gene under his control, more or less, for now, as the two of them head back to the Cortina. its brought into his view by the 'usual' way, and the drive to the Master's 'home' is generally in a sort of quiet, aside from the sound of the still playing radio. the Master exits the car and politely says goodbye to Gene before slipping off
the hypnosis effects will wear off soon enough, but by then, the Master'll be long gone from the spot he's in. it wasn't exactly 'home', close enough but still a distance away so that should the Gene Genie get raged, he might have trouble finding him
and the Master turns in early for that day, humming a certain David Bowie song...]

Wonderful job, Mr. Hunt.
[he politely gestures behind them, to where they came from - ignoring any sounds that might've come from Agito]
Shall we take our leave?

He had taken hundreds, no, thousands of jumps in his life, even of buildings higher than this one but this was the first time he was truly scared.
The ground came closer.
...He closed his eyes.
And closer.
...said sorry to Akito.
Closer.
