{A bit away from the main traffic of the plane, Diva appears sitting in a chair. She's dressed for a rehearsal, sitting primly in costume. Diva doesn't move at all, just stares ahead blankly. It's times like this that being called a 'doll' doesn't seem too far off. In the dated clothing and her perfectly beautiful features, she looks like she's made of porcelain rather than flesh and blood.}

What happened?

[madamemoiselle]

Only Amshel and Nathan are left. They're dead. James and Solomon...they're dead.

[didorothy]

...How? What happened? [holding her hand now]

[madamemoiselle]

{Lets him hold her hand, but she doesn't grip back or move at all} Saya killed them.

[didorothy]

Wh-but Solomon's devoted to her!

[madamemoiselle]

Ah? Did I not tell you that part?

{Diva pauses for a moment to look away from Sam, but her tone is very scathingly bitter} Because Solomon is my Chevalier, Saya hates him. He pledged himself to her, claimed he was her Chevalier instead, vowed to protect her instead, and Saya doesn't return any of that feeling at all! Solomon knew that she would kill him, knew that I would be angry, knew that he would be tortured and beaten and broken until he couldn't even breathe...

But he still chose Saya over me.

Solomon was devoted, but Saya hated him just as much as she hates me. We're all monsters to her. It doesn't matter if we hate or love her, it's all the same, and she'll chase us until the end of the Earth until we're all dead.

[didorothy]

[takes up both of her hands]

She... I need to talk to her. I can't let this go on.

[madamemoiselle]

...{Looks to their hands} It'll go on forever. There's no way to win. No matter what happens, I always lose. It's bad luck, you know?

[didorothy]

Diva, I haven't landed a coin on tails in days. I don't believe in luck. It doesn't have to be this way and we have to stop it.

[madamemoiselle]

How? How do you plan on saving me?

[didorothy]

Saya and Amshel. Those are the two people who will destroy your life if we let them. I have to talk to Saya. I have to convince her you can change. And we have to find a way to break you out of Amshel's hold. Maybe... I don't know, he has too much power...

[madamemoiselle]

Can you talk to Saya at all? I mean...since your homes, they aren't the same. {Quietly} The only way to do that...that would be to kill Amshel.

[didorothy]

I was able to talk to the people at that party. It's worth trying.

[he presses his lips together - killing Amshel is not an option he's particularly pleased by, but he realises that it could be]

[madamemoiselle]

You...can't kill Amshel. I...I don't know how to live on my own. I need Amshel.

[didorothy]

I need to... I'll find a way to stop him. There has to be... can Nathan wake you up? Can he be the Chevalier you need? Would he be that Chevalier?

[madamemoiselle]

Ah...Nathan is different. Not because he's nicer or more eccentric, or anything like that. My other Chevalier don't--didn't know, but...Nathan isn't my Chevalier. He's not Saya's either.

Nathan...he might stay. He might not. I don't really know.

[didorothy]

Can you trust him enough to talk to him about it?

[madamemoiselle]

No. Nathan was the one that knew Sam's name, and now...Amshel knows Sam's name somehow. But they don't know what Sam looks or sounds like, so it's fine. You don't exist in our world, after all.

[didorothy]

Damn it. What if.... What if... could you make another Chevalier? And would that Chevalier be able to wake you up?

[madamemoiselle]

...Um...Well, that's a possibility, but...I don't really know anyone. Amshel has picked all my Chevalier before, except Nathan, but I just told him that I picked Nathan. There's not really anyone at home that I'm close enough to ask that.

[didorothy]

[there's a long pause]

We'll find a way.

[madamemoiselle]

{Blinks, looking to the side again} Not that...I'd really want you to, but...If it would save me, would Sam become my Chevalier?

[didorothy]

[he's very quiet, for a very long time, as he tries to reign in the fear]

I can't, Diva. I can't.

[madamemoiselle]

I know that. No sane person would want to become that.

{Is she a little disappointed? Possibly.} Ne, but that's how it is. Even if we seem the same here {Motions to her head} and there {Gestures to Sam's heart} our worlds are different. And I don't just mean because of this place. Even if Sam was living in my world...it's not the same at all.

[didorothy]

There has to be some way.
