09- Suspisicion

[Is sitting cross legged with her hair back in a plat and reading Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, there is a big pile of books on one side of her and another cup of coffee on the other side of her]

[Turns a page] I think he’s planning something that I won’t like, two cups of coffee and all these books?

[Frown] Definitely suspicious.

Costa's isn't any better than Starbuck's.

Just because I appreciate it that doesn't mean I'm obsessed.

[And Ianto takes a sip of his own coffee.] What's so suspicious about giving you coffee, anyway?

[identity profile] damnfinecoffee.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Would turning down what he offers you help at all?

[identity profile] damnfinecoffee.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't sound very bothered.

[identity profile] damnfinecoffee.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you know that for sure?

[identity profile] damnfinecoffee.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I can see why you'd want to be cautious around him.

[leans over her shoulder]

Nee nee what are you doing, gero? What is this, hm hm?

[identity profile] gerogerodance.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Aahh, reading, gero. [pouts] I thought it's something interesting!

[identity profile] gerogerodance.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmm, what is interesting in it, gero?

Eeeh, six? Why, why?

[identity profile] gerogerodance.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
What is a classic, gero?

Mmm, he did? And why only when you're six, gero?

Hm. Whenever my employers are playing nice, it means they want something, un. [He peers at the books curiously.]

[identity profile] clayfireworks.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
That's the way it happens, un.

Never heard of it. Must be only on your world, un.

[identity profile] clayfireworks.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
In my line of work it's not all that surprising, un.

Is he famous in your world?

[identity profile] clayfireworks.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[Amused smirk.] Maybe famous authors are different, but I guess employers are the same all over, un.

[Ambles up casually, hands in pockets. The sight causes him to smile fondly, but he hangs back a bit in order to leave should she dislike interruption.]

I always kinda liked David Copperfield. Enjoying it?

Your father was well-read. ...Though Oliver Twist always was too hard for me to read for too long. Poor kid goes through too much.
