[Zeronos staggers away from where he left the ZeroLiner's back car he'll get it back into his own reality eventually, with a bleeding stab wound in his abdomen. He pulls the card out of the belt buckle, and it seems to just dissolve into nothing. He pulls the belt off next, ending the transformation, and revealing Ryotarou as the one underneath the costume — he has a slash wound very close to the previously mentioned stab wound, and he looks in bad shape.]

H-help. Please...

[scratches his head] Ah, well. You were losing a lot of blood. I couldn't really do much, sooo-- [nods at the Master] --he helped me bring you back to the TARDIS and get you fixed up.

[pauses] And then we started to watch a movie while waiting for you and that brings us to now.

Quite neatly, actually. Hello again! Hope life-debts don't hold any currency in your culture, or I'll have one on you. Ooh, that'd be nice. Doctor, don't forget that you owe me something too.

[steals the popcorn back and starts eating it]

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
My pleasure! Though really, you should rest for a bit. The healing effect is increased but it's still going to need time.

[and steals a handful of popcorn] Oooh, love this part. Three-way swordfight. Brilliant.

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
So relax. No one's going to kill you for at least a little while.

[smacks the Doctor's hand away] Don't steal popcorn.

[is pouting about the slap] Hm? Oh! Pirates of the Caribbean 2! Seemed like a good choice.

[will just munch on his jelly babies then]

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
[eating popcorn. And definitely not sharing]

We're almost done. We're going to watch the 2045 adaptation of War of the Worlds next.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[well he's not sharing jelly babies. Except he hands a few to Ryotarou]

Mhm! Well, technically it's a remake of a remake of a remake but! Still one of the better ones. Can't really go wrong with Wells.

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Except when you can.

[is now trying to steal the Jelly Babies]

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[and he'll be yanking the bag away because SOMEONE WON'T SHARE POPCORN]

Oh, well, basically what it sounds like. Aliens land on Earth, take over, blow up things. It follows a few of the survivors trying to find safety.

And usually Wells is hard to mess up. Except for some of those unauthorized sequels.

[Fortunately, GUTPUNCHES are an effective way of getting what you want. So, Doctor, GUTPUNCH FOR YOU. And Jelly Babies for the Master. Not that he wants to eat them; they taste awful with popcorn. But he's holding them just to prove that he can have what he likes when he likes. SO THERE]

You know what I enjoyed? The radio play. All of New York in an absolute panick, it was hilarious. Humans are so stupid.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-07-18 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[after a bit of coughing, the Doctor gives Ryotarou a 'I'm fine' wave. Really, he gets gutpunched so often that he's going to end up with a Houdini stomach. Thus, fine. Mostly.]

There was a radio play in 1938 based on the book, except a decent amount of the population thought is was a real news report. That aliens really were invading. [pauses] Except, well, they were. Sort of. Long story.

[looks a bit surprised at the Master] You were there?

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2008-07-19 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
It is one of my favourite novels.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-07-19 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
You can borrow a copy of the book if you like. Or the radio play. Or...well. Anything really. I think my Wells collection is good enough for browsing.

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2008-07-21 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
He can't borrow my copies.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 07:42 am (UTC)(link)
Of course I am! No harm in it, is there? Good reading material. And yes, he'll borrow mine. Everyone's happy then.
