[Cy is in Ammy's forest. And by 'in' I mean way the hell up in a tree, poised over the stream. And yes, she's still on a poetry kick.]

[She looks very unhappy about something, and paces back and forth on the branch while she recites.]

[Stubborn kitty is stubborn too. But also uncoordinated. She misses her footing and drops from the tree in a flailing bundle.]

[Oh hey, falling kitty. Jack has enough reflexes to catch her before she even comes close to the ground, placing her in the crook of his arm more out of habit than anything]

[SQUUUIRM.] Man down, man the life boats, manager to aisle five!

[He doesn't tighten his hold, but he does manage to keep her from squirming away] Cy, calm down.

[Bites him.]

[He doesn't even flinch, just looks down at Cy]

[Growling around a mouthful of arm and sleeve.]

[rolls his eyes] I have all the time in the universe, you know.

[Mumble] Don't got all the flesh in the universe, won't have all the arms in the universe.

[And Jack has absolutely no clue what you mean Cy, but he figures right now isn't the best time to point it out] Right now, however, I still have enough of an arm to hold you here, and I doubt that'd change anytime soon.

[Lets go and clams up again.]

[Sighs and just looks at her, because he really isn't going anywhere any time soon]

You were mean.

I said some things I didn't mean. [Be happy Cy, this is as close as Jack usually comes to saying 'I'm sorry']

[Not happy with this.]

Did mean, didn't mean, were mean.

[Sighs, because Jack is not exactly the apologetic type. Guilt, however? Definitely his thing] I was angry, so I said things that upset both you and Ianto.

Yup. Ace reporter, this one. Just the facts, ma'am!

[Looks annoyed, because really, when was the last time he attempted to apologize to a cat?]

[SHE'S WAITING.]

[Jack rolls his eyes] Fine. I'm sorry Cy. [Why can't Cy be like Ianto? They always get distracted enough by other hings that he never has to actually say the apology]

[A cat is a cat is a cat, after all.]

Mean it?

[nods] Definitely mean it [Just don't make him say it again]

[Well. All right then. She settles down with a grumble.]
