[And here comes Jackie, popping into the Plane and, for a moment, looking rather flustered and perhaps even a little frustrated. In his right hand is a steel fold up chair, and his left hand is just idly twitching by it's own accord. He takes a few steps forward and opens the chair up with a snap, then promptly drops it in front of him. After staring at it for a moment, he sits down and leans forward, taking one long deep breath. Taking a few and holding it in, he leans back and tilts his head upwards, staring straight up and breathes out slowly.]

Better. Much better.

{That makes her giggle a little} Ah, well don't tell him that. I doubt he would appreciate being saved by a "skirt".

...I guess. Maybe? Not necessarily. But the circumstances of when I killed a few people here, that was different. And no one I've met here has seemed to have heard of me before I introduce myself so...I'm grateful.

I almost feel like telling him for the sake of his reaction. But no worries. I'd happily not even bother with him.

[Doesn't seem perturbed at all by her confession] Case by case then. That's refreshing, in a sense.

Ah, if you want to see a reaction, see if he remembers the drinking contest we had! He never mentions it, so I think he's embarrassed.

Well, it also helps that it was kind of...an accident, I guess. I kind of went crazy for a little bit because something really bad happened at home.

[Another absent pause. Too bad we ain't got a mind reader around] That's troubling.

...Maybe. It's never happened before, though. It was...Well, my home changed into a place that I never wanted to go back to. At the beginning of my life, I was an experiment for humans, so it's not something I remember fondly. It was that again, and Joel put something inside me that made me...well, go insane, I guess.

[Pauses for a moment, making eye contact with Diva.] That sounds terrible. Disgusting.

{But Diva doesn't make that eye contact for longer than a moment before she decides the stars are more interesting} It was.

[Blinks at her once]

Life's a fickle bitch. Packing a crude sense of humor, and an absolute disregard for fair-play.

I guess so. But even if I'm kind of {(very)} unlucky, then it's alright, I think. I can keep on living.

[Turns his eyes away, staring off to the side, seemingly at nothing]

In the end, it could always be worse. You might not have the choice to continue living.

{That makes her laugh a bit nervously, because...Well, she doesn't. :\} I guess so. But...I do want to live now. After coming here, I mean.

[Figures he might have struck a nerve, so doesn't pursue it] Then don't let anything stop you. [A pause]

But I don't think I needed to say that, anyways.

Right! The people here are all very precious to me, so I want to keep living to see them. It's what I've been looking for, after all. Besides...{Thoughtfully, placing her fingertips together in front of her mouse an idle and falsely innocent gesture}

Nothing can stop me anyways, so.

[An eyebrow raised. Hello intrigue] Is that confidence speaking, or fact?

What about Jackie? Have you found what you're looking for?

{With a little smile} Oh, maybe both? There's only one person that can really kill me. Everyone else, well, they can try as much as they want, but I'll always come back to life.

[A slow nod] And then I lost it.

So, you're immortal to all but one person then.

Oh...What was it? Maybe I can help you get it back.

{Nods} My sister. Our blood, it opposes each other. My blood is poison to her, just like it's poison to me. If our blood mixes, then it turns into a crystal.

[He's become rather silent, Diva.] It's not something that can be found again.

So it's a family thing. What kind of crystal, though?

...{She tilts her head curiously} Why is that?

...A fragile one? It breaks almost as soon as it forms. The only way to stop it from killing you, really, is to cut off whatever got stabbed with Sister's blood, but...Well, if you get stabbed through the chest like Karl did, then it doesn't matter. You'll die.

[He really does not want to have this conversation. And an absent pause as his internal friends spare a moment to taunt him] It just can't.

So, her blood is absolutely fatal? Is that to vampires exclusively, or is it indifferent?

{She lets it go, still curious, but she has a guess} Well, then I hope that you can find something else to make you happy.

Just to my Chevalier and I it's fatal. To humans, it makes them like us if they take some of our blood and we take some of theirs. That's how a Chevalier is born. And, well, it can make people into monsters too.

I doubt it will happen.

So, in effect, it creates and destroys its own race. That about right?

Well, that's no way to think about it. You have to hope for the best, right? I mean, there's a saying...uhm...{She pauses, putting a finger to her lips before she smiles} Something like there's always a light in the darkness, right? I mean, if you don't have a little hope, then...going on is a lot harder.

Not even that. It just destroys its own race, really. Because Chevalier, they aren't pure-blooded like Saya and I are.

[Remember that earlier silence? Yah, have Jackie just stop moving and go completely silent. The only movement is his closing his eyes, but that's it.]
