Honestly! {Today when the bitchy princess visits, she's visiting in the middle of a cocktail party! So she's wearing one of her skankier nicer dresses today and her hair is neatly done for the occasion}

Oh, they won't leave me alone and it's absolutely awful! I'll admit, he's good looking, but really! He won't leave me alone. He just keeps asking me questions, but when I ask him things, he can't remember a thing! And yet he's the one that gets mad when I won't answer. Or ignore him completely, but...{huffs} Oh that's the only thing about parties like this. Humans get too much alcohol in them and they think that everyone is their friend.

...And sorry Gene, but I really needed to go home.

I expect you to answer my questions when I ask them. [equally dark] You need my pity because it is the only emotion you will ever be handed and you'd be wise to heed my advice. It is one thing to be treated less than dirt -- it is another to be burned and tortured and raped from the inside out because of the actions of the one still bound to you.

...Social. Then you have a lot to learn about being social. It's simple ettiquite, though I wouldn't expect anyone to know about that anymore. {Sigh}

"When in the company of others, do not press upon tender subjects. If your guests show irritation, change smoothly to another subject to avoid offending your guests." Very simple.

How is one to know what is considered a 'tender subject' and what is not without prior knowledge? And you are not my guest; why should such rules come into play?

{ugh why am I explaining this to you} Ne, a pretty big indicator would be the fact that I was getting angry. You just pay attention to how the people you're talking with are reacting. When you are in a conversation, everyone is your guest. You must treat them with the behavior that you expect to receive.

Find a book on etiquette. Amshel made me read four after I got out of that tower, so they're not hard to find.

I have an entire section of my library dedicated to etiquette, I've no need to 'find a book.' It has never concerned me before, however. I am only doing this because the Doctor and Sam Tyler seem to believe it is ... necessary ... for me to do so in this place. And I should not ever think to treat you as I should be treated; you are hardly worthy of that distinction.

Yet, of the times that we've talked, 3 out of 4 times, you've been the one to strike me first. {Hmphs} That's not what the Doctor said last night. It's hardly meaningless.
