second trick

[Ikki appears much in the same fashion as he did the first time, sailing out of midair and skidding, but it seems more on purpose.]

Ooooiii! Baby shark! Where the hell have you been?! We've got training to do!

[a pause]

And lunch~! Sumeragi-san is great. [He plops down on a random park bench to eat a well-earned bento, still decked out in Air Trecks and knee-guards.]

[Mmm, scritches.] Ah, it is very beautiful. It is green and open, the water is clear and the air is clean. Well...that's how it usually is, anyway. Unfortunately an enemy of mine has returned, and has left most of Nippon under a terrible curse.

The curse destroys the land and kills most living things. Any humans caught in it are immediately turned to stone. [Sighs a little.] This all happened before, and I thought I had put a stop to it for good, but it seems that I am forced to start over. But no matter. I will dispel the curse and defeat Yami once more.

[Yay! Fortunately that fire only burns her enemies :D]

[Daaaw!] Indeed, that is always good to remember! [Snuffles at his hand.] You smell of wind. Wind and feathers and freedom. And machinery, incidentally.

[DAAAWW!! She laughs.] Well, there is that as well, but I figured it would be impolite to point it out~ Anyway, it is the other scents that are important.

Hm. It is rather difficult to explain scents to humans. No offense, but it is a bit like trying to describe music to someone unable to hear.

Genius, though...you know the feeling of working very hard on something, having failed many times, and then you reach a breakthrough? Or when you accomplish something you never would have dreamed yourself capable of? Genius smells a bit like those things feel, if that makes sense.

[Beams at him.] There you go, then~
