[and the Brigadier is on the plane, looking the exact opposite of pleased. he has a hand pressed to his side, and is wincing just a bit] Damn! Bloody, hotheaded... going to get someone killed!

I'd appreciate a painkiller. [he flashes a strained grin]

[sighs because boys are silly and like to be manly] Hang on, you. [leaves the plane and returns with painkillers and the first aid kit] This should do the trick. I'm not well practiced in this but I think I can clean up that wound.

[he is not silly, thank you, but he does take the painkiller gladly] Some knowledge is better than none, Miss Noble.

My mum says that sometimes. [leans in and starts cleaning the wound up, then pauses, blinking] Hey, Brigadier? You're human, yeah? Not, I dunno, some sort of fast healing species?

[he quirks a brow] Born and raised in Kent - human through and through.

[pokes the wound a little] I hate to break it to you but you're healing. I mean you're healing. I think if I leave my finger here, it's going to heal around it.

[he stares] ...That's-

[please don't mind, he's moving your hand Donna, to better... sort of look at his own wound]

[lets him poke at it, watching him closely] -Never happened before? [decided to finish his statement!]

[he nods, then draws his hand away. he stares at his fingers for a bit, the sticky black blood] No.

[stares at the blood as well] Think it's the blood?

I don't know.

We'll find out about it. Right now you're healing. That's good.

It's still rather disturbing...

Yeah it is. It doesn't feel any different, does it?

The blood? No. The healing...? A bit.

Well, I'll finish cleaning it anyway. It could still get infected. [keeps cleaning it, even if she's frowning] Does it hurt less?
