Dunno why I hadn't-- [blink] Convenient. I was about to come here anyway.

Self, er- Ten, if you've got a minute, there's something I wanted to ask you about.

[wanders over, hands in his pockets] Sure. What do you need?

Assuming things went the same for you as they did for Jack, you've run into Daleks. I need details.

[somewhat surprised but nods, taking in a deep breath] I suppose since things were different for you, no harm in saying everything.

It was about 200,100. We didn't plan to go there. But the TARDIS was drawn into Satellite Five. I took Rose there once before, I don't know if you've taken Mickey. Anyway, it had been turned into a reality television station. But the entire place - Earth itself - was being run by the Daleks. They had thousands of ships, hundreds of thousands of Daleks.

[pauses] They're not the same Daleks we fought, exactly. They're bred from human organic material. Interesting little twist. They had an idea of 'blasphemy'. But the Emperor's with them and they're still as dangerous as ever. I wanted to use a Delta Wave to destroy them but that would have caught the Earth as well. Ah, right and shields wise, if you have the tribophysical waveform macro-kinetic extrapolator, it will hold against them.

[he's been nodding and cringing at all the appropriate parts, and he whistles at the mention of the extrapolator] I only wish. Where'd you get it?

[this barely counts as a pause at all, he has too many thoughts and questions swirling around] The Daleks, they took Earth openly?

A Slitheen in Cardiff had it. We thought it was best left in our hands.

[frowns] Sort of. For part of it, at least, it was ruled in secret by a creature called the Jagrafess. It was a news station then, editing information and feeding it to the humans as it saw fit. When we returned again, I discovered the signals being sent out by the station were hiding a Dalek fleet. [pauses] They tried to take Earth openly, yeah.

Good, I should get some warning then. Sounds like I'm overdue for a trip to Cardiff though. [makes a face] Of all the things to hear oneself say.

[ooc: Augh, late, sorry. ;;]

If it helps, you do get a nice steak and chip meal out of it. Well, maybe. Assuming the timeline goes remotely the same.

There is one thing, though. When I fought them as you, I didn't have enough time to build a proper weapon. If I'd used the one I had, it would have wiped out the Earth as well...You have time.

I did actually have something I was working on, but it got jostled apart last time I landed. Haven't quite had a moment to put it back together and continue.

What did you use instead?

I tried building a Delta Wave transmitter. It was the best I could think of at the moment.

[wince] That...would do it, yeah.

[sighs] That's why I didn't use it. You'll have to think of something better. All the ships were in the same area, if you can contain a blast.

There might be a few more stops in order to pick up materials, but- [grim smile] if I can't manage it, who can?

[nods, just as grim] ...If you need help, let me know. I can't do much but, well... [shrugs]

D-do people often ask themselves for advice here?

They do when they're me.

Eventually! Actually, it's more like thirteen.

It could be if we were all in the same place at the same time.

No, I just don't know where I am. There's a difference.

Say someone you know goes out for a walk. You don't know exactly where they are, but you haven't lost them, have you?

Oh... yes, that is true.

So most of me are out on a walk, potentially anywhere in time and space. [grin]
