Movie Party~!

[Firo and Angela appear on the Plane with a movie theater in tow. Yes, a movie theater. It's a 1930s style building, with a great sloppy banner hung across the front that says ADMISSION PRICE: FOOD. Firo stands in front of it with a ridiculous amount of paint on himself for how simple the sign is, wearing slacks and a button-up shirt. He doesn't seem particularly disturbed at the fact that all that blue paint is NEVER EVER going to come out. He looks around.]

Hey Angela? How's that table-arrangement-stuff coming?

[ And Angela would be just inside the glass doors, one of which is propped open. She's straightening a long, bright red table cloth on the table and setting out plates and silverware, totally not stolen from Altena castle's dining room. And she's wearing her flapper dress and smiling quite contentedly. She leans out the door. ]

We're just about ready in here! Did you get the banner up?

Yup! [He drops his paint brush into the bucket and comes wandering up.] Now we just need the people. And I might need a new shirt. [But he doesn't seem to mind at all.]

[ Angela smacks her hands together. ] All right then, you go change, and I'll start spreading the word.

[ She leans through the door and yells out toward the Astral Plane. ] Hey everyone! We're having a movie party! Bring some goodies and we'll start the show soon!

[ She smiles and winks at Firo. ] Think that'll work?

[He laughs, salutes her, and drops off the Plane, to return with his hat and a fresh, clean suit.] Should work just fine, Angy!

(OOC: Welcome to another party thread! Usual threadhopping and whatnot encouraged!)

[And that just makes her laugh more.]

O-oi! We didn't really have a TV, so it was kind of hard to see movies. At least I don't think we did. [Gets a thoughtful look.] Actually I don't really remember.

[Thaaat gives her pause.] You don't remember?

[Isn't really as bothered by this as he probably should be.] No, I guess not. It was a long time ago, after all. But I know I saw Wizard of Oz at some point. [Small smile.] Bai loved the lion character.

[Returns the smile.] What other things did she like? Did you take her stargazing?
contract_star: (but they're not even real)

[Nostalgic smile.] All the time. There was this pond near our village where you could see all the starlight reflected in the surface. She loved it there. She... [Trails off, smile fades, you know the drill.]

[After a moment,] Do you know what movies they're going to be showing?

Li. [Takes his hand and gives it a little squeeze.] She what?
contract_star: (why does it rain on me?)

[Goes quiet and blank.] It's nothing.

All right. [Doesn't let go of his hand for a second, just so he knows it's okay.] I always loved going to Kanami's house. She had such a lively family--it was so different. At home it was just me and my dad.

Really? Sounds like a lot of fun. My hometown was really quiet; not much interesting ever happened there.

Her house was always crazy! She shared a room with two sisters, and her little brother would follow her around all the time, demanding piggy-back-rides. Her father stayed at home, her mom was a teacher. It was a fun place.

[Laughs.] A stay-at-home dad, you don't see that very often. That's great, though. I don't think I knew a family that big growing up.
