It was a business to him, cold, clinical, all about profit margin, never about the people who served him. Knowing she would have to take over that one day... The fact that she had no choice. [Sits down next to her] Men who treat their men like that seem to be asking for trouble. It's harder for people to get to you if your men actually like you and want to obey you. Maybe it's just because the only other Mafia boss I've ever looked up to actually cared about his men, or if Reborn just made sure I appreciated them, but I could never just see my men as pawns.

[Looks down at his hands] It is a bit like a cage, being born into the Mafia. You can't really escape something like that no matter how hard you try. She's not the first one to have snapped because of the pressure. [Glances at Misaki] Don't worry about it too much. Neither of you could help what you were.

Dino. I'm glad he did. You don't have to worry that I'll get mad. I'd be more angry if he dragged you into Tokyo and didn't tell you what was going on.
