(no subject)

[Donna appears in the plane, looking mighty pleased with herself. This may have to do with the nice desk and more or less modern looking computer on it.

She pops back off and returns with two chairs and seats herself in one. Then she stabs a homemade sign into the 'ground' which reads: 'FREE COMPUTER AND INTERNET LESSONS. BRIGADIER, THIS MEANS YOU'.

Anyone is welcome to come get an internet is for porn lesson]

Who the hell needs that crap, anyway?

[identity profile] barelyemoting.livejournal.com 2008-05-16 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[and here is the Brigadier, since the sign says he's required basically. he chuckles a bit]

Giving me no choice in the matter, Miss Noble?

[he sits, then]

I don't quite see how- Miss Noble, you aren't trying to pull a bit of a joke on me, are you? I've seen computers in my time and this looks nothing like them.

...I'm afraid I'm more used to computers taking up the entire room - or a good chunk of it.

[he pokes the computer]

It works, then? Like this, I mean.

Ah, a real Lost Technology? What year is this computer from?

[identity profile] dameluckypants.livejournal.com 2008-05-16 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Any reason for the lessons?

[identity profile] harmonixerdemon.livejournal.com 2008-05-16 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
[Wanders over curious about the computer, since he has never seen one before.]

Why's everything got to be easy? Good old fashioned detective work is just fine.

[ Stare. Altena's rather advanced for Angela's world, but she's still not seen anything like this before. ]

[identity profile] flashknickers.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
That's a bit...er...what, exactly?

[identity profile] harmonixerdemon.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 07:58 am (UTC)(link)
I guess? What is that thing anyway?

[identity profile] dameluckypants.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah? Different time periods and places, I guess.

[identity profile] flashknickers.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
What's it for?

[identity profile] durch-feuer.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose so. It's 3073 where I'm from, but there's nothing like this anymore. All the computers are a rarity, and even more so if they work.

[identity profile] barelyemoting.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[Brig pauses] World War I, then.

[identity profile] durch-feuer.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
A golden age? Mm, not really. It's more like a regression of society after the war 900 years ago. But, well, I've dabbled with a few, but not anything quite like this one. The ones at home are a lot bigger than this.

[identity profile] harmonixerdemon.livejournal.com 2008-05-18 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. [Looking at it curiously] What can you do with it?
