 [Mu is sitting quietly in one of the booths of the bar, absently toying with an empty coffee mug. His hands are, once again, free of the scars that indicate his work.  Whatever it is that he's contemplating, he seems troubled by it.

He does afford anyone who enters a small greeting, but he's very clearly waiting for someone...or, perhaps, several someones.]

[Here's Eithan, looking around and wondering exactly what is going on. He nods when he sees Mu, but since he has no idea who sent the note, he also has no idea if Mu's the one he's looking for, or if maybe he got here first. But, given the way Mu seems to be waiting...

Eithan makes his way over anyway.]

Hey. Did.. you get a note? Or send one, I don't know.

[lamb_of_gold]

I sent them, as a matter of fact. It seemed to be easier than tracking you down in person.

[He gestures for Eithan to sit, then stares back at his mug, seemingly unsure of how to continue.]

Was...this the first time you've met with death?

[punkblaze]

[At that answer, he just nods again, sits down across from him.]

With my own, yeah. [Pause.] Tch. That's still weird to think about.

Mmm. I had trouble coming to terms with my own first resurrection. This time is not so disconcerting.

[Mu looks back down at his hands.] Im sorry.

[punkblaze]

[Eithan shakes his head.]

No reason for you to be sorry. [He runs a hand through his hair.] But... hey if you sent the note, that means... you know what happened?

[The note has brought Jamie to the bar as well - and in fact, he's still carrying it in his hand, having come straight to the bar from the mailbox on the Plane. Or, well, very nearly straight to the bar, with only a small detour to the TARDIS on the way.

He's not at all sure what to expect when he gets there, though - for all he knows there could be nothing at all. And at first it does look like nothing, save for the fact that Mu's here as well. It's been a long time since they've had much of a chance to talk, given Victoria's arrival and the marriage and the general running around the universe he's been doing, but it doesn't stop Jamie from heading over to say hello - and maybe seeing if he got one of those notes as well.]

Mu! Hey, listen, did ye get some sort of note too?

[dododo]

[ Said TARDIS detour also has a bit of a side-effect. Or cause of effect, more like; Jamie has someone right on his tail. Because, naturally, the Doctor would like to know exactly what happened as much as Jamie, because Jamie is his best friend and you do not touch his best friends. He's very displeased about the whole affair, because the state he found Jamie in...

But, while quietly seething, he doesn't let it show. He hangs back, goes to explore around the bar, but listens in to the conversation. ]

As a matter of fact, I sent it. Hello, Jamie.

[Mu looked up at his approach, noting Two in his peripheral vision. He hadn't expected company, but said nothing, instead focusing back on Jamie - after all, he had no way of knowing if they were together or not.]

Have a seat.

[lamb_of_gold]

[Mu lets go of his coffee mug and splays his hands out, face down on the table. He does not meet Eithan's eyes.]

Strangling a man to death is far easier than many people seem to think - A simple headlock from behind can cause unconsciousness in less than a minute, and death shortly afterwards.

[Eithan's a pretty pale kid, but that statement just made him go even paler. He stares at Mu, eyes wide. He didn't tell him anything about how he died, so for Mu to say something like that, to know how he--

Holy shit.

His brain goes completely blank. White noise. He can't even think, let alone think of something to say to that. Probably a good twenty seconds of silence follows, after which he finally manages to swallow around the sudden dryness in his throat.]

Y-You... uh... You mean, you...?

So now you see why I apologize.

It was my hands that spilled your blood, so to speak, yes. But I assure you it was not my will.

[For a moment, he's silent again. And tense. Fight-or-flight kicks in, and since he sure as hell doesn't want to hurt Mu - of all people! - part of him wants to barrel out of that booth so he'll have somewhere to properly run if something happens again. And yet, he doesn't.

Instead, he sits up a little straighter, regards Mu evenly, with a seriousness that he only slips into when he feels he has no other option. It's the last sentence that catches his attention the most, after all.]

... What do you mean?

[Mu looks as though he expected Eithan to react violently, and seems somewhat relieved that he did not.]

There was a woman here some time ago - a professional looking woman who was taking some sort of reading on us. She...did something to me. I cannot claim to remember much, save for her and several extremely unpleasant sensations, and it seems as though I met a similar end to erase any physical traces of her work.

[He frowns. He never met this woman, never saw her, so he has no idea who Mu could be talking about.]

So like... mind control. [His eyes narrow a bit, but with concern.] And then you... too?

[bonnypiperlad]

[It's really not a surprise for Jamie that the Doctor's followed him, but when he doesn't immediately come over and join in on the conversation, he figures the Time Lord is doing his usual observing without drawing too much attention to himself. So Jamie decides not to draw attention to the Doctor either - and frankly, Mu's statement catches his attention rather neatly. He blinks for a moment before sliding into the seat across from where Mu's sitting.]

Ye did? Well, alright. So what's going on, then?

[dododo]

[ It catches the Doctor's attention too, naturally, which makes him pay some added attention. He doesn't turn his head or anything like it, but he definitely listens more closely. ]

[Yeah, Mu is more than aware this is a shakey defence, but unfortunately, its true and its all he's got.]

Somehow, yes. It felt as though I was sleepwalking - aware, but not.

Naturally. Unfortunately, I can't seem to recall how.

[lamb_of_gold]

[Mu's voice lowers, speaking so, ideally, only Jamie would be able to hear him, normally. He's still aware of Two's presence, but this isn't information he wants a stranger to know quite yet.]

Firearms are quite unwieldly, aren't they.

[Eithan doesn't find mind control to be a shaky defense. It exists in his world, and he's actually pretty damn phobic of it. He doesn't doubt Mu at all. Why would he? Mu saved is damn life once, and has been nothing but kind otherwise. He's still wary, sure, but mostly just concerned at this point. He's been around here juuust long enough to know how much the Plane likes fucking people around.]

Shit. [He sighs.] 'Course that's the case, huh? Heh.

... So, this woman. I think we should find her.

[docinawall]

Hey! [Doc spots Mu in the bar and goes over to join him, sitting across from him cheerfully] Wow, that's some crazy hair! Purple's a good color. Can I sit here? [he sounds a bit nervous--he's used to being kicked off of teams] I got a weird note, so I guess I'm here to meet someone. Are you here to meet someone, too?

[when Menzies enters, she goes straight up to the bar and pours herself a pint. as she's doing that, though, she spots Mu in a booth. so she heads over, curious, drink in hand. she doesn't actually sit--he has a look that says he might not want to be disturbed--but she does stand next to the booth. considering him, she asks:] Rough day?

[As far as everyone is aware, Loki hasn't been seen on the Plane for a while, but couldn't be any further from the truth. After waking up in that man's workshop, he's taken to using his cloaking spell to investigate how this all came to pass. The clues have been nothing but puzzling and random trinkets; his own suffers from the same problem for having no rhyme or reason in his mind as being the source of his demise.

Upon receiving the note, he is, admittedly, curious and slips into the bar unseen. For a moment he just stays and observes and watches Mu. Is this who he is supposed to meet? Loki doesn't recognise the handwriting, but he sees no harm in hazarding a guess. After a few more minutes of observation, he heads back over to the door, opens it and removes his spell as he lets the door swing closed, creating the illusion that he's only just entered.]

Are you responsible for summoning me here? [He strides over to Mu, the note in his hand.]

[Well, in theory, lowering one's voice works fairly well. Unfortunately, when you're Jamie, it doesn't always stay lowered. Especially not when Mu says something like that, because not only is it oddly specific, but hearing the word sparks something in the back of Jamie's mind. So there's no check on his voice - and no attempt to hide the fact that he's staring at Mu now, either.]

What?

[ Well. Doesn't matter if Mu doesn't speak loud enough; Jamie's going to share everything with him anyway. His main concern is keeping Jamie safe.

It does help that he has a bit more of an attuned hearing than most humans, though. He can still hear a thing or two. ]

[oh Jamie. Mu closes his eyes and continues in the same tone]

The weapon was given to me. It was heavy and long - I did not like it. One shot was effective, but graceless and very loud.
