[Onto the Plane steps - yes, steps - a young woman whom some may recall from that one time the Plane was letting any old foggie in. It only takes Castor a second to recognize her surroundings, and she’s quick to take stock of where she is and what’s immediately around her....which is a whole lot of nothing.]

Alright, once I can chalk up to a bad dream but this is a little ridiculous. Why am I in the sky again?

[She quickly begins to check herself over, muttering as she does so.]

‘M not feverish, head’s fine, no aches, no blood, stomach’s alright... So I’m not sick, not poisoned, not concussed, and not bleeding out. Well, there go the easy answers. Spell? Nah, I’d notice by now...

[Almost as an afterthought, she pats herself twice more.]

And definitely not dreaming. Good job, Castor - you’ve gotten yourself into a right mess this time.

[She looks around a little more, wondering why the place isn’t as full as last time, and eventually brings her hands up to her mouth.]

HEY! HELLOOOO??? ANYONE HERE? [And when she doesn’t get an answer, her hands drop to her hips and she makes something of a face] Tch, just my luck huh? Alright, what did Fire-head say last time...something about a plane? Middle world...? Bah! [Castor shakes her head, finally looking back down at herself.] Well, I’m dressed and have my pack. I suppose I’ve been in worse situations, but I’d feel a little better if Leda were around...

[Eithan was... not expecting to see her again! That's a pleasant surprise! He heads over with a smile.]

Hey! You're back!

[spiritofadventure]

[OH YES GOOD. Castor grins broadly when she sees him.] Fire-head! Just who I wanted to see.

[A beat, then...]

What's going on?

[hollowly]

[he's never actually been able to greet newcomers to the plane - but it doesn't mean he won't do it once he's been given the chance. when he sees castor wandering about, talking to herself like there's someone listening, he can't keep from going up to her.]

You look about as lost for what to do as I did when I first started coming here.

I get the sense that suddenly appearing in the middle of the sky gets this reaction out of a lot of people.

[punkblaze]

"Fire-head"? [Okay, he has to laugh at that.] Man, that's a new one. That's awesome.

Uhh, what do you mean? [headtilt?] Here? Nothin', that I know of. I mean, not that I'd put it past this place to be up to somethin' I don't know about yet.

[spiritofadventure]

What? Your hair's the right colour! Couldn't remember much but I couldn't forget that!

I mean why am I back? I shouldn't be here!

[punkblaze]

[Snickers!] Yeah, I get that one a lot. Just not the name. Consider yourself original.

[He crosses his arms, thinks for a second.] Yeah, you were here when it was broken last. Right? Dunno. Maybe you're just meant to be here now. Can you come and go freely now? [Short pause.] Have you tried that yet?

[beagoodman]

[That lady there sounds like she's used to being hurt or... being in 'worse situations'. That's not acceptable, but Steve has to admire her spirit. He walks closer slowly to not to startle her.]

I'm sorry to say it's indeed not a dream, ma'am. This is a place called the Astral Plane.

[dissedthesonic]

[Rory can't help noticing the young woman in the distance.] Um, hi? If you're worried about being ill, I can examine you? [And before she thinks he's a perv, he quickly adds:] I-I'm a nurse.

I'll take it! Better than funny looks and a recommendation to see a doctor.

Yeah something about technical-we can leave on our own? That's a relief!

Yeah I'm getting that sense, even though I've been having nightmares about it for weeks. The Astral Plane, huh? I was here once before - something about it being broken?

[Blink!] That's a kind offer, but I think I'm alright...

Unless I actually am feverish. Kinda hard to tell on yourself sometimes.

[beagoodman]

Nightmares will be common occurrence from now on I'm afraid. [He frowns a little, eying her.] Oh. I'm sorry I thought you were... I don't think we met before. What do you mean by broken?

[hollowly]

[have a tiny laugh.] Yeah .. I'm not exactly used to that kind of thing where I'm from.

What's your name?

I think anyone who is might be the special kind of nuts.

Castor! Well met.

Oh good! Now everyone will know I'm a nutter. It...was awhile ago, I guess? Something about a technical difficulty? That kind of stuff usually goes over my head.

[hollowly]

[snort.]

Probably, yeah.

[and he holds out a hand in greeting.] Sam.

You, ah, might want to take a look behind you. [says the woman with the bandaged head who is approaching from behind, smirking. hello, Castor]

Did you say you've been 'ere before? [her expression is curious. after all, that's not a typical reaction from a newcomer to the Plane]

I try not to judge though. Most people think I have a few loose rocks up there, anyways.

[She meets his hand with a firm grip.] Been here long?

[spiritofadventure]

Ah? Hey, you sure you should be sneakin up on people with your head all wrapped up still? Wouldn't want to give you another shiner by accident.

Ah, yeah something about the place being "broken"? It was awhile ago, I guess.

[dissedthesonic]

Best to be sure in these kinds of situations. [He starts to rummage in his pocket for something.] I've got a thermometer in my little medical kit...

There we go. [He removes a wallet-sized first aid kit, and after a second, pulls out a what looks to be a strip of plastic.] Here, stick this under your tongue and keep it there until I tell you can take it out.

[spiritofadventure]

[Castor takes the device and blinks at it.] That's a thermometer? It's so tiny!

[She pops it in her mouth anyways, doing as instructed.]

Leas' isn't as cold 's the big glass'uns a home.

[Her temperature is completely fine btw]

[Steve smiles a little and looking down.] Aren't we all in a way?

I'm not a big fan of machines myself either. But there's always something wrong with this place, so I wouldn't be surprised. [He sighs, looking around a bit grudgingly. But he turns back to her and offers a hand.] Steve Rogers.

[punkblaze]

Yep! You can. [Nod!] Just think about home. Seriously. You'll end up right where you were before you got here. Then if you think about here, it works the same way. Convenient, right?
