[When Loki arrives on the Plane, momentary surprise turning to curiosity as he looks around and does not see the woman, Meredith Sault, he met here previously] Of course. She would not be here again. [A small, knowing smile crosses his features.] I wouldn't be.

[He sets off to explore this new world after he is certain he won't simply be thrust back outside that little cottage once more. Stars surrounding him are not an unfamiliar sight to Loki. They are, however, not the ones he is used to in the constellations he studied and has used to guide him when no map could. They intrigue him and will warrant further inspection--but they are not his primary concern. After finding the Information kiosk and receiving aid from a helpful invisible woman--who he tried to find initially until he figured out the trick--he is left with questions not about how to go home. He has already tried what was suggested to him and found it quite clever. No, he wonders other things...] How is this world even here? Why has Father never mentioned it?

[As things seem relatively peaceful, he does not put on his armor; there doesn't appear to be any need for it, though he does stay on his guard. Instead, he cloaks himself for a time, wandering around this "Astral Plane" invisibly to see what it has to offer.

It...is not quite what he is expecting, but then again with the "Astral" denotation, he might have expected objects dealing more with the celestial bodies than what he has found. Surely, there are answers for this as well, and as he has assessed the dangers and this place well enough already, he removes his enchantments and heads towards a building which purpose he was initially unsure of until he took note of all the bottles of alcohol and suddenly it all became clear. The mortals there would be a good place to start.]

[As he speaks, he pushes the bar doors aside and gracefully strides in.] Pardon the intrusion. I must admit this is my first time getting a proper look around this plane of Astral. Yet, I find myself with more questions than the box of information can provide me. I would reward you with food and drink... [He glances at all the bottles behind the bar.] But I believe this building and one other is already handling that for you.

[He would know who would trick the trickster.]

[He takes a step forward, towering over the young man.] If there was any doubt in my mind, then I would not have asked, youngling. [His tone is calm, even, and patient.] You have time to learn the ways of a warrior, and how to sail the seas--but you will not be able to do either at this very moment. Now come. [He pats Hiccup's shoulder once, then turns, heading for the many bottles of alcohol.]

[Hiccup's ever freaked out by how he talks, because he always imagined gods talking loudly, and shouting most of the time.]

Uuuh, that's- that's true, um... that's right. Alright, huhh. [Toothless follows them too as they reach the drinks.] And you've come from Asgard? What is it like? How does it look like? Can I even ask that...?

[The drinks look a bit different from what he's used to, but he still pours something for him and the young man. When asked about his home, he smiles fondly.] You may. How to describe the majesty of the realm eternal...? Its golden magnificence would make you feel as though the sun had come out of the sky, spreading its warmth and brilliance for as far and long as the eye can see. The buildings and statues reach up high and touch the heavens, and the flowers are in bloom almost all year-round. And the stars...the ones here pale to the beautiful ones in the air surrounding Asgard.

[Hiccup takes the glass but he's more interested in Loki's tale than to drink from it yet.]

Wooow... It sounds... beautiful. And it's your home, huh. Wish I could go there-- I mean not as a god, but just to see how it looks like. But I guess I have to wait until then.

And- and what do you do up there? Do you have dragons there too?

[Mu takes it about as gently as is plausible, and bows his head slightly.]

I am often here, should you need assistance.

[He merely smiles at the notion, not once mentioning how mortals aren't typically allowed or seen in Asgard. He can't think of a time when that has happened.]

Dragons? No, definitely not. Not in our realm. There are, however, stranger creatures in the outlying lands and realms that we hunt. We also train for the day when Asgard's enemies decide to attack. I, personally, have my own duties to uphold in the name of the All-Father, but they would bore a child such as you, I fear.

Instead, why not tell me about yourself and this world where the dragons live amongst men as though they were loyal companions.

You really don't have dragons? [Hiccup blinks, truly surprised. He was sure Asgard was full with them.] What creatures? Trolls? I hunt trolls too, but I could never catch any.

Mmm... [He frowns while he takes a sip from his drink, wincing at the taste.] It's not long since there's peace between us and the dragons, though, but it's a long story, a loooong story...

[He shakes his head.] Not a single one, though I do know of them. I must say, however, that it probably is for the best that you have not caught a troll--and be ever-grateful that it is not a bilgesnipe, or many other creatures that would not hesitate to rend a mortal into several pieces. [He takes a drink then, a mischievous glimmer in his eyes as he looks at him over his glass, letting the young mortal's imagination take over from there.]

We have plenty of drink and food is close at hand. [He sets his glass down and gestures around him.] A long story would accompany both very well.

Maybe. That depends on a lot. [And ever since she's been here, learning more and more about everyone's worlds and universes and laws of nature that are so vastly different from Ar Ciel, the list of variables just grows.

But, he's asked another question. She gives an audible breath as she folds her arms, thinking through her answer.] There's the cloaked woman, Meredith. There's also a man named Raymond that I've heard of, and there are two in charge of looking after the shop, most of the time. I believe there's also another woman, but I know very little about her. A few of the people who have been here a long time sometimes mention twins, whoever they might be.

[The utter horror on Hiccup's face. The horror!!] Bilgesnipe...? Oh, uh... Wow. [But there is that insane spark where he kinda wants to see that thing now.] You hunt them too?

I guess... But it's boring too, and... But it's actually great, I did something good in my life! My dad first outcasted me but then he took me back and now I'm back and the dragons too and everyone likes them instead of trying to slaughter them! [He rambled, while Toothless growled a little at the mention of slaughtering dragons...] Oh, sorry bud'.

[Learning of other people's worlds is what he wants. These are worlds that no one else knows of in Asgard. No legends, no former enmities--and most importantly, they are unseen by Heimdall's ever-seeing eye and Odin.]

[He nods as she speaks. Meredith he remembers, and he vaguely remembers a couple in the shop, but not much.] No one has seen these twins as of late? What roles do all these people play? [The second question is more of an open one, not one necessarily that she must answer.]

Oh, all the time. [He grins. He may be embellishing a bit--but it is Loki, after all.]

Such beautiful creatures were slaughtered... [He shakes his head.] If I may, why were you outcast? I cannot imagine it was easy for your father to outcast his own son.

They haven't. I haven't seen them, I've only heard of them. [She sighs.] And if we knew the roles they played, maybe we'd have a better understanding of what's going on. Right now, it's mostly just questions. Which I hate. [Casual shrug~~]

[Hiccup swallows.] Nnnooow that I think about it I prefer Berk much better...

Uuuh... well not long ago they were real pests to us, eating our food so we had to fight them. But then I met Toothless and we, uh, well... I c-couldn't kill him. He was just as afraid as me... [His voice turns low as he's thinking about it.] And my father didn't exactly listen to me then... Which is sometimes I'm used to but then we both took it a bit uuuh... far.

You are certainly not alone in disliking the situation or the vast amount of unanswered questions with no one to readily hold accountable. [He falls silent for a moment, thinking. Clearly the answer at the moment is for him to continue talking to those around here and observing.]

[He puts on a smile and gives her a small bow.] Many thanks, Jacqli. I will leave you to your philanthropic task. 'Til we meet again.

[Loki makes sure to remember the name of "Berk" for later research.]

Fathers...[he pauses, trying to think of a way to phrase what he wants to say]...have a way of disregarding those sons whom would speak truth and offer wisdom, but are in no mood to accept either. Please, go on.

[Yeah, asking around is probably a good idea. Goddess knows it's what she's been doing. ~~Well, up until she was given access to that handy little database...~~

She nods in return, but she bows to no one, sorry. And that philanthropic bit? Yeah that just makes her smirk a bit...]

Sure, Loki. I'll see you around, I'm sure.
