This should work-- Oh come on, man!

[Say hello to Gabriel. And his new uncalled friends... the cats. There is a few, attached to his legs and one's already reached his shoulder, pawing at his ear. There are a few more various types of cats around starting from stray cats to that one with the pink, sparkly collar called "Snowball the Fluffy Queen of the Snow Kingdom" according to its tag.]

What's going on, where do ya guys come from...? No, I don't- I'm not, no, get off, would ya-

[He just can't get it. He tried with magic, with catnip, everything but these felines just... attached to him now. For some weird reason. What he could get from their constant meowing that he has a 'good smell'.... Too bad he can't really smell it because of his stuffy nose... Then a paw brushes over his upper arm making his rash itch like hell, again.]

Hey, would you-- Oh, dear...

[Well if isn't a cat on two legs, with a forked tail. Gabriel recognizes it, of course, but he's still annoyed.] Come on, I wasn't even near Japan this time!

((OOC: Yes, so he's affected by the pollen too. So everything and anything that has some feline in it will be attracted to him. He's like a walking catnip now. And, just heads up, that there is a tiger around too, not dangerous because he's under the catnip-spell, but still, it's a tiger. A. Tiger.))

... Is that... a tiger?

[And for a second, Gabriel's convinced this dude just called him a tiger.]

Oh you, don't flatter me as such-- [But then he spots the real tiger which might have made the impact, and sighs annoyed.] Come on, now, I'm not Dr. Dolittle!

[Riku rolls his eyes at the mistake, so it's good that he's wearing that blindfold to hide it~]

Dr. Dolittle? [Frowns; he doesn't get the reference] Someone who likes cats, I guess?

[from the shouting, Menzies can identify Gabriel easily enough, but she isn't sure what to make of all the small coloured essences she sees around him. the meowing helps, though]

Are those...cats?

[she's smirking faintly at his apparent plight because she can't resist. but (unless he's too distracted by the tiger that she hasn't noticed) Gabriel might notice that her blindness means her gaze isn't fixed on anything in particular, and her eyes are glowing a deep blue]

[ooc: If she can see Gabriel's essence, could you give me an idea of what colour it would be? And, if you'd like, his current feelings and intentions? Thanks!]

Not just cats... [Gabriel sighs, not really in the mood to get people involved in pop culture references, and looking over Riku.] Do I know ya from somewhere?

[Meanwhile trying to swipe off the cats from his legs.]

((ooc: Sure! ^^ I think, to humans Gabriel's essence is something very bright and shiny, almost blinding, and the color is faint gold.))

[While he's trying to get a cat off of his shoulder, Gabriel looks up at Menzies. He's feeling a pleasant surprise and the urge to impress, again. Always when it comes to her. Or any other woman that might be a bit out of his league.]

Menzy, my favorite kitty! Did ya come to join the others? There's still place around here. [He smirks, but it turns into a frown when he notices that she's blind. He immediately starts to worry and he moves closer.] Good Lord, what happened to you?!

[wow, Gabriel is bright. it's an odd sensation to experience, considering she's blind, but in this case she can guess why his aura is that colour--he's serious about the pagan god bit. it's a bit odd to realise]

[she snorts at his reaction, though] I should be asking you the same thing. [as he moves, she notes that the cats move with him] You setting up to unleash a plague upon the Earth, or is the Plane up to something with you, too?

[Gabriel tilts his head to the side and waves his hand in front of Menzies face to see if she's really blind, but she is. Even though, she can see things, Gabriel can tell. That doesn't help his worrying.]

You're blinded, but still can see, huh... [He mutters as he's scratching his forearm absently. Stupid rash.] Oi, hey, no, the plague was an accident, ok? I had only little to do with it, it's not my style anyway. So, these felines probably turned up because this stupid place decided to make me into a living catnip---

[And that's when the tiger arrives and rubs its head against Gabriel's waist.] Dude, come on, I'm talking to a lady!

No, I don't think so. It's just hard not to notice someone with a bunch of cats stuck to him. [Smirk~]

Here. [He goes over and gently tries to detach one of them from Gabriel's leg.] How did this even happen?

[she's surprised by that observation and wonders how he knew that] Uh, yeah. I can sort of "see" energy--from people. And cats, apparently. [ignoring his joke, she frowns] How long 'as this been going on?

[she watches the tiger, which to her looks like an aura somewhere between the size of cats and humans] ...what is that, anyway?

[Gabriel can tell if something's fishy. He can tell she's blind and can see somehow, but not exactly how, and that makes him a but nervous too. He's not a pagan god, but an angel, and he doesn't want more people to know about it.]

For a day now, I figured comin' back here would help, but nah... Oh, this? He's... Well, she's a little tiger, just like you Menzy. I think I'll call her that. Though her claws are not as sharp as yours. [Flirting, yes, and Gabriel is amused, but there is always that hint of worry, because blindness, no matter what kind, is always troubling.]

[Squints his eyes. Gabriel really didn't want to leave a first impression like that. He was no friends of cats...! He was a dog person!]

Well all I know that I wanted to pull this trick over this guy who thought cutting hookers' is a good sport, when these little fellas felt the urge to attach themselves ta me... [Whenever he finally manages to get one cat off another one climbs back.]

[Riku doesn’t quite follow... but he at least gets the gist that this whole cat thing clearly isn’t intentional. He’s about to detach another cat, but one replaces the one he just removed, and he frowns again.]

They’re persistent, aren’t they? Do you have treats on you or something?

[thankfully, she's blaming the brightness on general godliness and hasn't worked that out--unless she reads that information off him, of course]

What, like, about since we breathed that stuff in while we were in the bar? [she smirks faintly. if she thought the evidence she's seen was convincing before, it's even moreso now. they were together when that problem hit, and now they've both been affected. it makes perfect sense]

[she ignores the flirting and instead gapes ~~at him~~ in his direction] You've got a tiger with you?

I'm used to feed different kind of cats, if ya catch my drift. [Huffs annoyed, scratching his forearm again.] I'm just as clueless as ya, blindey.

It started not long after I met Menzy in the bar.

[There could be a faint worry about that coming from Gabriel. A nervous feeling of being exposed, and being afraid of it.]

Oh, missy... [Sighs, because DAMN it was that allergic thing, wasn't it?! Gabriel rubs the bridge of his nose at the revelation, because they saw it coming, and now he's very frustrated.] How come it has different effects, I just got pest problems but you're walking around like a blind fortune teller!

They're cats just like their smaller cousins. Or like this fella around with the forked tail, it might be a good thing you don't see it...

[He catches. ... And is actually amused enough to smirk a bit and shake his head.]

You mean Menzies? [He frowns. Last he saw her...] Was she okay at the time?

[Gabriel is kinda surprised how someone actually amused by his innuendos at this place. Was he hanging out with the wrong people all along?!]

She looked vibrant, and beautiful as ever if ya ask me. Though, there was something in the air besides the tension... Dust or something, cuz we were sneezing like banshees.

[Tension in the air... yep. Definitely Menzies. ♥ Regardless, that makes Riku think for a second. So she wasn't blind-and-seeing-auras when this man met her earlier, but she was already sneezing? Hmm...]

Yeah, a lot of people are mentioning the dust. I must have missed it. Think that might have attracted the cats?

[she does not like that description at all, though she has to admit that it's surprisingly accurate at the moment. she just hopes it isn't a description that will ever apply to her again] Good question. Because of this place, I'm guessing. 'ow do you know so much about it, anyway? [she narrows her eyes, looking in his direction--and only half-realising that she's actually mentally prodding his aura, trying to read any thoughts or feelings she can off of him] I didn't explain. [and she wonders why he feels so nervous about it, too]

[at his cat comment, her expression is skeptical] You've got a cat with a forked tail now? [she looks at each of the cats in turn, curious] Well, none of 'em seem hostile, anyway. Not even your tiger. [not that she's secure enough in that to get any closer, though]

I knew something's wrong! [Gabriel sighed as the tiger was rubbing her big head against him, like all the other cats.] That damn dust, I knew something wasn't exactly right with it, and look at this, suddenly I'm the Cat Whisperer! I even warned Menzy, but she refused to listen ta me.

Because I'm a god, duh. Menzy, I know you pretend to don't like to listen to me, but you should remember that I'm not exactly from your kind of neighborhood. I know things. [Huffs, but even if he sounds a bit angry, he's not exactly angry. He's a bit sad, and this is the only lie he's saying with goosebumps on his skin. It makes him nervous, and frustrated because to hell with family, oh but wait he already has family in hell. Perfect...

But as Gabriel's eying Menzies, he gets a bit uncomfortable. If she really has some kind of prophet-abilities, then his witness protection won't work, and no, he's not dealing with that. Not with her.]

Dude, this is what I don't like about humans, you tend to be too skeptical. [But that is one of their charms. Gabriel loves humans, despite all the tricks and... murders he had done. Really.]

But something still doesn't add up... Menzies isn't attracting cats, even though she was around all of that dust just like you were-- [Hello, big kitty. Riku stares. It may be acting all friendly, but it's still a tiger!] ... You know, the way it's acting, I'd think you had a new pet instead of a wild animal.

Really? I never noticed. [don't mind the sarcasm, Gabriel. it's just how she is]

[she ignores hims comment. after all, she'd never get anywhere in her career field without a bit of skepticism. but she frowns at his feelings, getting pulled into them. her voice is a bit distant, like she's not really aware of what she's saying, as she asks:] Just what are you so afraid of?

[Gabriel huffs, as he's scratching his forearm.] All I can think of, that it's cuz of this place, kid. It personalizes the tortures... But it could do it without the dust too. [Frowns.] It made ya blind too?

Dude, even if this spell won't be on me, a kitty like this won't be a problem. [Beams, though he tries to push the tiger away.]
